It’s Tuesday. I’m up with the dawn, ready to work on my book about Stephen King earlier than normal because I have a stacked day where so much has to happen. I’m really glad for this hour or so of quiet to just work before my brain is entirely awake.
Wall curls are good because my back doesn’t think I’m trying to murder it afterwards! Huzzah!
I do think the trades are making too much of the “specific gifts” thing - these gifts will continue to sustain NPR to bring it to more people and to digitize it into further decades. But I ALSO think large, unrestricted gifts are a far better way to give philanthropically.
And she’s doing it with large, unrestricted gifts.
