China is installing the wind and solar equivalent of five large nuclear power stations per week

Amazing day for renewables in the UK
Is he going to lift the EIA requirements for a single wind turbine over 30m?
"When I started writing about the climate crisis in the 1980s I was in my 20s, I didn’t fully comprehend that there could be a force...so steeped in greed & power that it would sacrifice the earth & its inhabitants for its own narrow interests. But there is, it’s Big Oil." @billmckibben.bsky.social

It's the opposite of his intention, but the Idiot Emperor is forcing the world off fossil fuels. This week's column.

Fossil Fuels Are Not The Future….
If you are worried that China is beating us, then take a look at this. China is investing heavily in renewable energy. The USA is fighting all forms of green energy.
Reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and diversifying our energy sources could help us get ahead.
It could prevent wars over oil.
Mark Andrew Ashdown Mark Andrew Ashdown is a Reform UK candidate in Rother North West in the East Sussex local election. profile photo of Mark Andrew Ashdown Mark Andrew Ashdown's policies Statement to voters My Background As a child of the sixties, I witnessed things in the UK get better on a yearly basis. Full statement The seventies faltered with the three-day week and unelected Unions trying to run the country. I am now witnessing the further destruction of the UK and I want to reverse this. Initially I studied Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, I then decided that the construction industry would be better and spent thirty years in this industry. I worked on jobs which ranged between large government projects to small and medium developments. I was used as trouble shooter on building sites and turned round failing sites. I have also worked in the Solar Energy Industry, which already is the answer to most of our energy problems. I’m surprised at the lack of uptake in the UK. My Beliefs

Telling renewable firms you are at "war" with them won't help...
Full!
Would have been useful!
Wish it was that easy!
And which and where are you getting the turbines that are no longer manufactured? All the manufacturers went bump because no demand for sub 1mw because they are no economically viable.
Blade refurbishing for my 50kw machine is 25k.
It was done three years ago!
varies from local planning authority to another
In Shropshire they just put up a turbine in an AONB with no requirement for an EIA 80m tip height. Virgin site
They want EIA where I am for anything over 35m hub height even if it’s existing!
I have obviously made a complaint and to the CMA.
If 1200 legacy 50kw machines were swapped for a 3mw it would add 3.6gw!
Same as a nuclear power station! Thanks 🙏
Just getting trying to see how in depth the EIA requirements are, then get more detailed pricing.😬
On 23 June 2026, Britain marks ten years since the Brexit referendum. We were promised £350 million a week for the NHS. We were promised the easiest trade deals in history. We were promised sunlit uplands.
Research now shows the economy is 6-8% smaller,

If you vote for Reform you get the man that lied to us about Brexit costing our country Fortune and our country poorer and you get the Tories. But not the capable ones. The disgrace ones. 🏴🇬🇧☕️🫖
Why do journalists/editors keep with this negative/question style headline?
"Two new studies could change critics’ opinions about how many birds die from wind turbines"
Why couldn't it have been somtehing positive like this?
"Birds and Wind Turbines - not a single collision"
Two recent studies have re-examined risk of birds colliding with rotor blades of wind turbines.
Research found that there was not a single collision.
"The results from Aberdeen Bay show that modern offshore wind farms can be operated with low risk to wildlife."

Bruce Springsteen is making me a fan... Opening his concert in Los Angeles yesterday, worth the wait to see the transition to the opening song 90 seconds in. ✌️❤️🇺🇸 #Resist

In 2025 Chump tried to defund NASA but he failed. He is trying again this year.
“We want to live in a free, European Democracy. After 16 years of sorrow, corruption and Russian influence. We have had enough”
The organisers & singers at the massive Budapest concert told me why Orban has to go.
Aerial view of enormous crowd. Haven’t managed to source picture credit. Will post when I do
This is the massive turnout for last night’s “anti regime” concert in Heroes Square, Budapest, ahead of tomorrow’s crucial Hungarian elections. Tens of thousands chanted “Russians go home”. #Orban
Been quoted tens of thousands, told it could run into hundreds of thousands for EIA. The architect told me to be prepared for a figure of that amount in his own experience
Not prepared to take the risk. Shame turbine is at end of life and the present government would rather see it decommissioned
Corporate Welfare.
UK Govt to give £380m grant to Tata battery factory in Somerset.
The Govt isn't taking an equity stake in return, won't receive any dividends. It isn't a loan and isn't repayable.
Political parties demonize human recipients of welfare but hand free money to corporations.
That’s what everyone thinks!
Could you afford £300 for an EIA which is an upfront report which doesn’t guarantee planning?
That’s what it cost if you want to put up a wind turbine above 30m!
No one I know can afford the risk, hence the ban.
I expect this will also knock 3% from orban's voting base, like vance's visit :D
