Every year, I keep forgetting to do something to commemorate Man-Pac's birthday. Not this time. I'm trying to shake the rust off my art skills with this piece commemorating his 7th Anniversary.

The only instance where pulling clips from other games would be helpful would be for replacing the in-game grunts and hops and "TASTY"s and "YUMMY"s

It wouldn't help at all for anything else, such as the parts where the player is talking to the Ghost Gang pre-boss fight, for example.

I would basically have to go hunting for several unicorns before I can even THINK of taking a Re-Pac 2 Playable Ms. Pac-Man mod seriously.

I'd be willing to accept alternate takes for Blinky, PInky, and Clyde (I don't like how Re-Pac 2 handles those voices, Inky is fine.) However, if Spooky, Pac-Ranger and Professor Pac aren't spot on, the whole thing falls apart.

You would need to find people that can do PERFECT impressions of various characters, PLUS have good mic quality, PLUS be willing to do it all for free because I don't have the means to pay for such a task.

I keep getting comments on Gamebanana asking for Playable Ms. Pac in Re-Pac 2.
It's not gonna happen unless a miracle occurs, because doing it justice requires FULL voice line replacement, and I can't do what I did with the Pac-Family Restoration mod and just patch some lines.

they out there porting GTA3 and Sonic Mania to the Dreamcast while the Saturn just gets some undercooked X-Treme remakes that never get finished

I wish someone would make a homebrew solution for this issue, like some kind of boot disc that lets you swap from a Saturn Disc to a VCD, bypassing the region conflict, or doing what the few Video Card compatible games do and have the VCD content on a Saturn Disc, played from there.

Meanwhile, the region mod method is obviously very risky and could result in a bricked Saturn.
Both methods also requiring shelling out more cash, which I can't spend right now. I already used up my holiday gift cash.

The Action Replay cartridge method means I'll have to be constantly swapping between my Pseudo Saturn Kai and an Action Replay cartridge depending on what I want to do with my Saturn, which is NOT GOOD for the flimsy memory cartridge port the Sega Saturn utilizes.

Unfortunately, in order to do what I actually want (which is play Video CDs directly on a Sega Saturn), I need to either buy an older Action Replay cartridge, or region mod my console.

Both options suck.

...incidentally, that's currently the only thing my Video CD Card is good for, but there's just one problem.

I wanted to play the upscaled versions of the Pac-Man World 1 cutscenes on the Saturn to gauge what an enhanced port of PMW1 to the Saturn might look like.
Some Saturn games can detect the card and play higher-quality video when it's present...

Why is it an old-ass Sega Saturn Action Replay can supposedly unlock the ability to play VCDs on an USA Saturn (with an out-of-country Video CD card) but a modern-day Psuedo Saturn Kai can't?

All inkjets are abysmal dogshit quality with abhorrent planned obsolescence baked into them and laser printers are impossibly expensive to obtain for the average consumer, ESPECIALLY if you want color.
