I do like the use of cause and effect in this volumn and with a meanwhile, elsewhere type of story it. Helter Skelter is light hearted and fun tale especially if you love Groundhog Day. And the Character study moments with the companions through out adds more greatness to it.

I enjoy the concept of Making a Wish kills you literally. The Asteri, an alien species that feeds on hosts by granting their deepest wish. It’s like the Kantrofarri, but with Wishes. And they feel like Cosmic Entities by their appearance and their abilities.

It’s been long time I listened to a Big Finish release and this reminds me the magic of it. The pacing kept it steady throughout and gets right to the point, especially with Fields of Miracles / Land of Fools. I do like the idea that they are widening the narratives and make them more loose.

And quite the treat this is. I slowly develop the admiration for the Fifth Doctor Era. With my favorite being Serpent in the Silver Mask. This Volume contains three, two-parts episodes. Field of Miracles, Helter Skelter, and Land of Fools. Two stories which one of them is a lose over-arc.
