In a game (and series) full of hype moments and certified aura farmers, this one moment honestly takes the throne.
The pivot to Silver Bullet really helps.

While nobody has really pinned down what it is in the RE Engine that causes it, I've seen speculation that it's just a texture streaming thing. Open worlds have so many textures coming in and out of memory compared to tight, linear levels.
It's the good old days of RAGE megatextures again!
I honestly didn't realise there was a stable (tethered) jailbreak for the PS4 out there. I knew one for really old firmware existed but up to v13? Hell yeah.
Not that there's a lot to do with it right now. Interesting Linux ports aside.
Having watched multiple people try and understand why the beast games, and how the beast games, I have come to the shocking conclusion that Jimmy just isn't actually all that bright.
How did such a simple show concept fail to be compelling in any individual aspect.
The comment sections are usually full of people typing a lot of big words they clearly don't understand and not remotely seeing the irony in what they're posting.
The right wing jihad against education has done wonders for their ability to stay in the cult without any retrospection.
Getting recommended more and more "moderate" (actually far-right as fuck based on their output) Youtube videos. "I went to a leftist X" type shit where it's clearly someone cooked on GB News and Restore propaganda. Apparently the left is an existential threat but we're also fat and lazy?
Finding out a new Enter Shikari album dropped while I was settling in for a FF XIV ocean fishing session last night was wonderful.
I think this thing is all killer. Strong opening track.
My only claim to "fame" is I've won it once with the ticket 6969.
My punishment has been to have terrible Mini Cactpots since.
The whole ass AAA games industry really does just want to prove it's not sustainable doesn't it. Live service is a death cult and so many studios and staff are suffering in the name of "infinite" growth.
And no, certain "sustainable" indie collectives aren't immune to the rot.
I don't even know how you begin to fix this kind of system by trying to work within it. Abigail talking about the committent to non-violence near the end is good. Despite everything, the most that's happened is property damage. I fear what happens when a breaking point is reached though.
To call the Cass Review "bad science" is an insult to "bad science". It's worse.
The system is broken, and it's broken intentionally. Explaining this to friends, family, causes them to get stuck on what to do next. It's not just LGBTQ+ care, just being a woman gets you intentionally worse care.
That the ghouls running the groups pushing for bigotry and mistreatment is about 12 people should lead to some inquests and some actual consequences. That the current government are spineless fucks who have granted Wes the ability to ban medicines for specific groups because he wants to is fucked.
Watching the latest Philosophy Tube video (thanks @theabigailthorn.bsky.social!), and while none of the content is something I've not been aware of, having it explained and visualised definitely helps put it in perspective. I hope it reaches the right people as education is itself a weapon here.
In spite of this I've still not gotten around to the like half dozen youtube videos from creators I enjoy who mentioned the game for fear of spoilers. I weirdly enough don't really care too much about their analyses and takes.
I feel like that is a big point of how the game presents itself though.
Despite having beat the game a couple of months ago, I find it interesting just how often my absent minded thoughts just sometimes drift back to 1000xRESIST. It may not be a game that means the most to me, but it certainly left some kind of mark.
The music sometimes fills in moments of no thoughts.
Yeah this doesn't sound like it was intended, just implemented by someone totally incompetent or so pressed for time they didn't look at how you're meant to use the Discord SDK safely.
Very much one of those things that should be fixed the second someone discloses it as _what the fuck_.
Fuck it's cool being able to play RE9 day one on my Arch install. The amount of black magic and human sacrifice they put into Proton paid off. Never thought I'd have seen this work so well.
It is a shame the game didn't seem to let AMD GPUs use RT however. Even if it doesn't do much.
I had the same issue with the MGEX Strike Freedom! The "plated" runners were either gated super well and you'd never cut somewhere visible or it's this nonsense where you wont see it at a distance but it's staring at me as I know it's there now.
Bandai, c'mon guys. There must be a better way.
You know this fuckin thing is going to be a 13 episode cour for something that was written as a 50 episode actual show.
Please I beg of studios, give things more episodes.
It'd be interesting to find out what the ticket allocation for this purchase period actually is for these events, I know it's stupendously popular and a lot of people apply to it. General sales might as well not exist based on previous experience though, no hope if you're even a picosecond slow.
I've been running Linux for about a month now as my daily driver and it's been treating me well. All my issues have been self inflicted fucking-with-pipewire ones. Or known fiddly things like VR support.
Installing most games is a breeze between Steam and Heroic.
I use arch btw (had to, sorry ๐ซก)
Photo of an Entry Grade Nu Gundam model kit, posed with the shield and rifle pointed forward. A Master Grade Gundam Barbatos can be partially seen behind it.
Damn this PGU Nu Gundam looking kinda weird.
Did a quick #gunpla kit to clean the palette after the MGEX. Not needing cutters to get EG parts off while still being clean breaks feels heretical. But it works!
(Barbatos this is not your photo please put the cannon away)
Gave the Pragmata demo a spin. I am shocked at how well shooting and hacking at the same time works. I can see how this ended up in development hell for a few years, ironing out the feel on that must have been hell.
It'd be cool if the kit came with smaller stands for the dragoons so you could actually display them in flight. They do detach!

Finished the MGEX Strike Freedom #gunpla up fully now, decals and everything.
Damaged a few of the decals in the process but it has spares which is great. Tons more tiny decals than the guide requires so you can go wild.
It's a pretty painless assembly even with all the gimmicks. Just be careful with the gold runners, I'm pretty sure the plastic is inherently a bit soft. Which isn't great for some of the joints.
Ahh, I can finally relax and enjoy my built model kit, I saids to myself.
I was then bullied by the tiniest, most awkward decal sheet to ever be in a kit.

Finally finished the assembly on my MGEX Strike Freedom #gunpla
A tiny bit of panel lining and some awful posing later.
All that's left to do is apply the dozens of tiny water decals.
It's a very nice kit to assemble and poses wonderfully. Under gates galore makes it easy to keep cuts clean too!
I still love how big and stupid these Unicorn Gundam kits are.
I haven't really worked out how to pose mine properly but it mostly gets to aura farm through sheer scale alone.
The desire sensor knows that you want the funny rocks and it will remove them from the game to spite you.
