It's not a simple task by a longshot.
And just because a work has fans does not obligate the creator to localize their work into every single commonly spoken language on the planet.
The only reason there is a Japanese localization is because Toby himself speaks that language fluently.

What medium(s) of animation were you working with? 2D cut-out, 2D hand-drawn, 3D, mocap?

I was just thinking of this one today. What timing!
Very nostalgic
One last question: does that mean that until you go over filling in the hair and pelt and the like, your characters are animated bald?
That's the approach I took and have seen others take, but it's always kind of funny all the same
Especially considering it is not unusual and sometimes is even a standard to have multiple finished rough passes or iterations, revisions etc. Redoing stuff is kind of just part of the process, I suppose.
Plus it'd definitely be good drawing practice for me
Yeah I've encountered a similar problem. It is only natural that the way hair or such moving parts are drawn in spread apart key frames are often not matching the rest of the motion
I thought maybe it was my flaw in how I approached key framing, but I feel redrawing should just be something I accept
If I may ask: did you have a rougher pass before this or did you go straight to these lines?
And also, do you animate everything at once or do you go through animating the body first, then adding the hair and pelt sways and drag?
Very curious about how your workflow approaching something like this
"Hmm... Something tells me I need to tread carefully here... Let's see, it's got a lovely color, but how about the taste?"

For 15 seconds of such clean looking animation, that's honestly a great pace. Definitely professional level
Woah this lovely acting. So many drawings as well!
How long did this take you to make?
Uhm, actually it's spelled kilo-meters 🤓
I am not sorry.
Very nice linework. Quality stuff
