Compare that to people that have some actual hobbies outside of competitive games. Doesn't even need to be physical, can still have other stuff that you use your computer for that make you an infinitely more well rounded person than a gamer who can aim well. "30k in cs2" who cares, go pub.
Yeah and a few others I guess. It's just specifically shooters where being a good aimer or having a high rank is made out to be an actual skill when it has little to no actual real value and doesn't make you any more interesting outside of people that play them.
I think people need to realise there are other hobbies out there that actually get you something, you can very easily pick up on skills that make you more interesting and useful to people. Being able to play games well is straight up the worst skill you can have.
Years ago I played siege a bunch on my own and I got much better at aiming, sometimes I think about what would happen if I committed to a single game but then I think about it and I'm so glad I didn't play alone for that long and have never stuck to one game.
Not saying grrr u shouldn't play shooters like obviously they are one of the easiest things to just play with friends but going beyond that there just isn't a point, there is just nothing you are getting out of it and the time would probably be better spent elsewhere.
Like you could be doing something far better with your time rather than solo queuing comp, it gets you absolutely nothing. Playing a nice singleplayer game you get a real experience and story out of it, you can talk about it after.
I do get and agree (to an extent) with people who call video games a waste of time. I think there is a level of involvement you can have with games that is just not worth it.
Mainly people who play shooters alone and people who try to get good at aiming but aren't pro.
I don't have any eligible games for this category because I don't suck at any games.
