The max for FAT partitions in DOS 6.22 is 2gb. For larger drives it's not a DOS limit, but a BIOS limit. Many system BIOS at the time couldn't handle drives larger than 540mb. There exists 3rd party drivers like EZ-Drive to access the full capacity on those systems.
