Ahhh I’ve been curious about this myself but couldn’t justify the price on a blind buy. Can you tell me what you think?

Looking through an old magazine and just seen this old Public Health Ad. Remember these at school strange to see it all these years later.

It also affects being able to meet people. There’s lots of reporting at the moment on the death of dating but lack of time/money also impacts building up friendships and socialising where you could meet people to collaborate with… anyway the podcast is funny too so check it out

Young people don’t have the money as well as being time poor by having to work longer in dull jobs to pay for rent that it they don’t have the experiences, contacts or space to genuinely innovate. I studied Fine Art, then got stuck in endless dull office jobs to pay bills. Not done art since uni.

Made me think of Mark Fisher’s slow cancellation of the future." cultural output—music, film, and art—has become trapped in an endless loop of nostalgia, the recycling of old forms rather than the creation of anything genuinely new. Fisher blamed technology but I think Stewart Lee nails it better

Stewart Lee - Podcast Episode · 101 Part Time Jobs with Giles Bidder · 21 April · 41min

Fascinating podcast with Stewart Lee. Found it particularly insightful on economics and its effect on culture. Wish someone with power would listen to this and try and resolve the death of the arts and creativity.

First saw this in 1990 on a dodgy VHS. Never thought I would get to see it on the big screen. I’m generally not into Anime but this is one of those masterpieces that transcends genre. Wonderful film.

You are just evil grifters using a real life tragedy to get money. Disgusting.

I'm completely new to BlueSky so it may take me a little time to get my head round how it all runs but hello for now. My name is Paul and I'm a photographer in Manchester, UK.
I'll look forward to having a look at what you're all up to.

Can you also add people talking about an achievement with the word “beyond” - I am beyond proud…. I am beyond happy… I am beyond excited…. Argh

Very sunny here In Lancashire, wanted a long run over the moors but it would take a few hours and I feel I should spend time with my mother. Wonder if I can get her to go to the Red Lion?

Been rewatching Jeeves & Wooster with my parents. Think I’m enjoying it more now than first time around. It does make me want to wear suits all the time though. Stunning Series

The commentary by Lee and Herring on the Fist of Fun DVD about Rod Hull is… illuminating shall I say. Worth checking out

Sadly post covid I don’t see many mates these days and where I used to have tons of online friends that is something that now just doesn’t really happen now either. I feel isolated and I’m not even a pensioner yet!

Yeah I hear you mate. Never really got to grips with this place. Yes it’s less toxic but it’s also less accessible. It’s very cliquey and like the cool kids at school. Feels there’s no way to get an ‘in’ here. It’s like they are all existing mates and you’re not.

Feels like one in three Fess’s these days are someone not realising they have a chance for a shag. It’s getting pretty tedious now

Your latest response just illustrates perfectly that it wasn’t a leap at all. My, you sure ask lots of questions on something you have no “iota of interest in” followed by expressing Republican opinions. Yep marked your card alright. Good day. I will mute you now

Yep and there is your agenda. “In the tedious and outdated minutiae of the British monarchy” called it. You’re just a troll and deserve snark. It wasn’t a reasonable question. You were so obvious
