Not quite. The character limit and the (lack of) privacy settings are sort of deal breakers. I read where they built the site as more of a blog-style rather than a social site… It reminds me of very early Facebook.

Certain aspects of FB I’ll miss as well. I will probably stay connected - 15 years of travel photos, as well as comments my mom made on many posts. It’s nice to see her pop up like that. ♥️

Some findings to share - you can’t “lock down” your site - you have to block people you don’t know. Also, there’s a 300 letter character limit (like twitter - back in the day). You know how verbose I am…😏 - plus, a filter allows all or none to interact with your post. Feels like early FB. 🫤

Agree. I’ve had only one so far. I was reading about the “lockdown” capabilities of the site and there don’t appear to be any. I think that’s how fb worked in the beginning - lots of security issues. I guess we just have to keep our eyes open. Also - a limit on how long a post is, like Twitter was.
