I didn't get chance to leave the stand to see what any else was selling though. So it's entirely possible that there were far too many sellers in the hall.
To me they're just an add on to supplement the woodwork. Same as my paints and minos

From a traders perspective, dice somewhat unfortunately represent an easy win. Don't take much space, or need much attention throughout the day to bring in a steady stream of sales
I did try to balance out my dice offering with some hand made dice to support more small business and give variety
I'm trading at it!!!
I am so excited!
@slondonwarlords.bsky.social was awesome, it was so fulfilling to have people genuinely excited to see my new painting handle
But I got absolutely no pictures.
So make sure you tag me if I make an appearance on yours!
What a handsome chap
I hope I get to meet him
I was going to say hopefully this time I won't be in a mad panic setting up as the doors open.
But I've just realised I'm unloading tomorrow morning, so no luck there 😅
Looking forward to it though!
My first ever Chillcon appearance is this weekend
Really excited for it.
No new painting handles yet. BUT, instead I have absolutely loads of display plinths, brush rests and cool new @badsquiddogames.bsky.social models (which you can hear about in Annie's talk on Saturday)
See you there!!!
Hello, friends. I've been relatively quiet and mighty inactive in my usual TTRPG spaces on account to our family getting thrown into turmoil.
My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year, and we need help with the mounting cancer expenses. We truly appreciate any help you can give.
Julio over at Dragoncrown is one of the nicest and down to earth people I've had the joy of being friends with in the ttrpg community. As someone who lives in a country with universal health care, seeing this properly upsets me and frustrates me. So if you can, please help him out.
Last 24ish hours to secure your model and paints for the march limited palette painting challenge!

Hey! Annie at @badsquiddogames.bsky.social has both loads of women miniatures for wargames and collecting AND a great blog if you want to educate yourself about some of the inspiring women who have been involved in conflicts throughout history: communityminiaturesproject.com/category/ext...
Text over a background of minis from Bad Squiddo Games. The company founded owned and run by Annie Norman. The text reads: This shouldn't need stating, but apparently for some folk it does. Wargaming is for everyone. Painting minis is for everyone. Sculpting is for everyone. Playing is for everyone. Sci-fi, fantasy and historical are all for everyone. Some of the best work in historical wargaming is being done by women. If your answer to a question about whether women are interested in your products is "nobody interested in historical wargaming are women. It's a lazy journo question, don't like that." You're probably a dickhead.
Otherwise people might look at other things you've said about "wokeism" and the times you've left charity organised events early because you aren't making enough money, and conclude that you're a bit of a dick
you instead use it as an opportunity to talk about the women who are involved. The awesome work they're doing, and promoting the work you are doing to make the space as inclusive as possible.
Now I've only been in business for four years. Not over 25. But, If you think a journalist is attempting a "gotcha" by asking if you've seen an uptick in women buying your products, can I recommend that instead of "sarcastically" having a go at the journalist and making your version of jokes...
Two years and over at @goonhammer.com we‘re still saying everyone is welcome in historical wargaming, with the exception of Nazis and misogynist fucks.
