A mass shooting that took the lives of eight children should stop this country in its tracks. Instead, the Shreveport tragedy disappeared from the headlines in a day. We cannot allow this level of violence to fade into background noise. Ending America’s gun‑violence epidemic is a moral oblligation.

There have already been 116 mass shootings in the US in 2026 so far, more than one a day. Unfortunately, people have become so numb to them that the killing of 8 children doesn't shock anyone that much anymore. It's even been described in some media as a "domestic disturbance".

It's incredible that these levels tolerating this level of open corruption.
