It is not outrageous for Canadian provinces to respond to a trade war (started in breach of our existing agreements) and threats of annexation with a targeted import limitation. Our government is run by bad people who are also bad at their jobs. Canadians are wholly right to retaliate as they did.

Artist Je Shen.

His works are characterized by a "sedimentation" of color; he does not apply it uniformly, but rather gradually deposits it with thousands of small touches, creating vibrant surfaces that call for pointillism.

💥Hungary's first post-election poll: Péter Magyar's Tisza leads Viktor Orbán's Fidesz 66–25 among certain voters — a 41-point gap. On April 12 election night, the margin was just 15 points (53–38).

Orbán's party is in freefall.

Pa. court recognizes ‘reproductive autonomy’ as a right, strikes down ban on public funding for abortion In a 4-3 ruling, the Commonwealth Court found that abortion access is a fundamental right guaranteed by the Pennsylvania Constitution.

Pennsylvania's appellate court confirmed that access to abortion is a fundamental right under the Pennsylvania Constitution.

This decision is a win for all Pennsylvanians.

The government shouldn't be making your healthcare decisions - you should.

With this new InfoWars, we will democratize psychological torture, welcoming brutal and sadistic ideas from everyone, even the very stupidest among us. It will be like the Manhattan Project, only instead of a bomb, we will be building a website.

The InfoWars of tomorrow will converge into a swirling vortex of content about content, talent acquiring talent, rings of concentric media mergers processing all human artistry into one endlessly digestible slurry. This will be a dank, sunless place, one where panic and capital feed on each other like twins in the womb of a hulking, unknowable monster—a monster known by many names, but which I like to call modern-day America.

I truly cannot overstate how proud I am of Ben, not just as my partner but as my friend, as a human. He's the strongest and bravest person I know. Also the best cat dad.

And when one of the world's worst bullies threatened to ruin his life, he kept going. Because it's the right thing to do.

You know what's really embarrassing about this conflict? Iran has a 90 percent literacy rate while 50 per cent of the US reads at the 6th grade level or below. Iran sent Phds to the ceasefire talks. The US sent realtors.

Today, Pamela Jo Bondi, our most recent head of the Department of Justice, is blithely ignoring a valid, legal subpoena requiring her to testify before Congress.

We are not a nation of laws. We are a nation of some people can get away with anything.

The New Right : Landslide The 1976 Republican primary looks finished. After a string of losses to Ford, Reagan's aides prepare to concede. But a network of right-wing groups has quietly organized, drumming up anger over integr...

This podcast is sooo good. One thing we learn is that Reagan's 1976 primary campaign comeback was masterminded by a far right eugenicist named Tom Ellis in NC & by appealing to George Wallace voters in Texas...an idea hatched by Arthur Finkelstein. Recognize that name? www.npr.org/2024/03/06/1...

During crucial negotiations with Iran that will affect economies worldwide, our “President” and “Secretary of State” are at a cheesy fake wrestling match.

We are no longer a country that should be taken seriously.

Please correct your byline. Dawn Staley did not get into a heated exchange. Dawn Staley was confronted and disrespected by Geno Auriemma. Words matter. She did nothing wrong. You like many other sports outlets are giving Geno a pass.

I just think Geno would look a lot prettier if he smiled more

This might be the most unhinged thing he’s ever tweeted, and that’s saying something.

He’s flailing. Has no idea how to get out of this war cleanly.

The US Military embarrasses me. Their behavior and the irreparable harm they do overwhelms me. We saw it at Abu Ghraib, how Americans treat other human beings that they have responsibility for. Bombing little girls in school. A war of aggression. Bombing "just for fun." The worst of the worst.

‘Microshifting’ puts a new spin on 9-to-5 schedules A new way of scheduling work time is remaking the typical nine-to-five routine. “Microshifting” is a trend that involves tackling job duties in short, productive bursts instead of a single stretch.

Microshifting: Fitting paid labor around and between non-work responsibilities and priorities. Performance is judged by output instead of hours logged behind a screen. Job duties are tackled in short, productive bursts instead of a single 9 to 5 stretch.

It's so funny.

"The USPS losses money"

So does the federal highway commission. But we all understand that if we didn't invest money in this you couldn't drive anywhere.

But for some reason we've let shithead delivery companies convince you otherwise.
