Bubsy...yes I'm serious

The NHL has the Seattle Kraken and Utah Mammoth, you're telling me that Cleveland's MLB team couldn't come up with a better name than Guardians, or Washington D.C.'s NFL team a better name than Commanders?
Really had to pry the racism outta these people's hands, they were clutching it mad hard.
This is a fantastic video showing how a trend that started in sports has infected every inch of our lives

Match graphic for Manami and Chihiro Hashimoto vs Seri Yamaoka and Yuuka Yamazaki from April 20, 2026's Shinya Aoki Produce Aoki Clutch 01 show
Definitely worth going out of your way to see this one. The grappling between Hashimoto and Yamaoka alone is fantastic and there's a real sense of struggle throughout.
Big Hash gave these girls some real shine here.
WCP just announced their show is releasing on their YouTube on 4/23 at 5 p.m. PST.
AFAIK the venue that WCP and Marvelous were at didn't have the proper internet to allow streaming, but I saw Jordan Castle tweet that he was going to do comms for Marvelous so I assume they will be released in the future.
Here it is for those curious
Phil probably should have left his boots in the ring as well, I don't think he could have had a better swan song than that (and it still wasn't great, merely good).
Saw somebody suggest that the favor Gunther expects from Heyman is to be the guy to retire Brock, and man I hope not.
I know by this point he has been Balor longer, but I really miss Prince Devitt, man.
Fuck off, Brock
Pretty positive that if you spent money (especially thousands of dollars) to watch that show, you are, in fact, a mark.
WWE having two of the most influential/skilled women wrestlers of the last 15+ years and finding a way to put neither of them on the card at Mania is all you need to know about how that company feels about the action that happens inside the ring.
More than just a story about Andreas Hale, this sends a message to all aspiring reporters/writers to steer clear of critical coverage because it will harm your standing with access to WWE and therefore diminishes the value you bring to your outlet
Outlets need to back their reporters
I admit I didn't watch it as much in 2025 (I wasn't feeling DBS Jr. or Jun Saito reigns) but I appreciate very much that All Japan is its own product in big 2026. While most other men's companies have become hybrid US indie/lucha/strong style, AJPW still mostly retains a grounded, classic style.
The in-ring isn't particularly good but, I dunno, you see a lot of people at various stages of their careers and that part is kinda fun.
I'm not sure it's something I can watch solo (which might say a lot) but it's fun viewing with other fans of wrestling.
Watched most of the JCW show (had to tap out before the ME cause it was like 5 a.m.) but I kinda liked the way it sucked?
It was earnest in the moment, but clearly didn't take itself too seriously most of the time (Russo on commentary for the title was *terrible*) & watching with friends was fun.
It showed just how underrated Joey is on average, which people forget because he loves to fuck around doing gaga indie bullshit most of the time.
Way too fucking long, and the stupid babyface who *just can't do it* MULTIPLE times was death.
I think Effy/Allie may be worst match of the year, and I was only half-watching it.
She's the type of insane Eastern European that I feel in my soul.
I dunno how anyone can *not* like Thekla, she fucking rules.

Match graphic for Yuma Anzai vs Go Shiozaki from night one of All Japan Pro Wrestling's Champion Carnival, April 12, 2026.
Anzai vs Shiozaki was a fitting main event for the first night of the Champion Carnival: some cool limb work, real hard-hitting action and a sick closing stretch. It was totally worth going out of your way to see, imo.

It has basically been a constant of all my adult life, offering the type of casual, welcoming escape from the drudgery of everyday life that we all need sometimes. I've probably put more hours in Animal Crossing than any fighting game.
I guess I'll fire up New Horizons again today, and thanks.
Today marks the 25th anniversary since the release of the original Animal Crossing game in Japan, & I'm weirdly sentimental about it.
We got on the GameCube in 2002 & it has been a part of my life ever since, from playing with friends in the dorms all the way to playing with my spouse in our home.
That Liv Morgan music video was somehow *worse* than I expected, couldn't even make it like 30 seconds in before turning it off.
Is the blame going to him, the promotion or a bit of both? I haven't seen any updates on the story in the last day or two.
