My reindeer babygirl is back together with painted legs and antlers!! There’s a little chipping to fix but since it was also my first time re-stringing part of a doll I’m happy with her anyway #doll

Man… I like the xaga body kiyo is on by itself but I do sometimes wish I could put her on one that would make her a few cm shorter. Buying a thancred doll changed everything.
But dolls in all scales are getting taller and not shorter 😭😭😭

And then I bought a catgirl who is taller than him so he accidentally became a siscon

Like, I bought cat diez originally just because I was so charmed by the sculpt and split resin colors. But now he’s my guy Edmund and as I think about him and buy stuff for him I get to make a character without any real constraints (except the ones that I apply myself like ONLY MONOTONE CLOTHES lol)

It’s not like I don’t love working on them too. There’s just that extra bit of work. Vs my 1/4 menagerie where I buy a doll I want and start cooking from there. I guess it’s the freedom that’s fun to play with? And learning about the characters as I go along

Buying dolls and then making characters around them is honestly a little more fun than making dolls based on beloved characters. There’s a level of stress attached to my thankiyo dollies because I want them to look good and how I picture them, at least a little… bianca I’m gonna re-shell completely

I guess after Olive is all together again it’ll be time to start seriously thinking about Kiyo doll mods… and painting my other harpy too I guess but I don’t want to think about those claws yet
