There's a tiny crested titmouse that visits nearly daily, and swoops fast, grabs a beakful, and flies away. Tantalizing! I may have to get a real camera one day. For a little tiny pouf of asphalt grey.

Best prices on wild birdseed will be at feed stores, not pet stores. It was amazing how fast I went from "noone could ever need a twenty five pound bag of birdseed" to deciding squirrels can have lunch too, to buying a fountain, and binoculars, and adding birdseed into my monthly grocery budget.

A tight close-up of the bit of fabric collage, to show off. I'm pretty pleased with my little bitty stitches around the edge of the tea patch. So yay, I did do a little making, despite having had a rawther wretched day.

Rough convalescence this time; feeling subdued. My hip HURTS. Coincidentally I'm having a diverticulitis flare-up: mirror-image pelvic ouch, and am just having tea and apple juice til the worst of the flare passes. I'll get there. I spent some of my day sewing this bit on my Alice jacket down.
