So many people who voted for the GOP are saying all of this is normal. It's not.

America is home to some of the best-trained & equipped military troops on the planet. Unarmed, untrained civilians aren't going to win against them in hand-to-hand situations.

Please don't make the mistake of confusing our troops with the people who (allegedly) lead them.

Regardless of leadership changes, our military has been carefully trained to refuse unlawful orders and to protect civilians. By remaining peaceful, you give them a chance to do that. /8

Given recent developments, it is highly likely that military personnel will be sent out to put down demonstrations. It's also becoming more likely they will be given unlawful orders, if only because the people issuing those orders don't know (or care) about the difference. /7
