I've long said that if one can find the elegant poem concept that captures the whole of a god's portfolio in its cascading implications, one has achieved an important bit of mystical understanding of that god.
(Thread is on the Dodekatheoi thus outside my wheelhouse but concept applies broadly.)

My immediate thought, ha.
That is a superlative success of executive function for which I am in reasonable quantities of awe.
Queer grocery worker encounter of the day: what mythological land is their origin, college tour prep for Oldest (we were there for snacks), the excellence of raspberries despite their texture and we will be autistic about this.
I truly believe in the possibility of cis guys who are into the Indigo Girls!
But also when one of them turns out to be a lesbian instead it's pretty "Okay, yeah, that tracks." 😆
My pandemic egg friend is so into the Indigo Girls I commented afterwards that her transition was no real surprise and she sort of spluttered, "It was a surprise to _me_."
That's just super.
Every superhero is a metaphor that fights other metaphors of the same clade
The Flash is a physics, who fights other physics (mirrors, aerodynamics, cold). Superman is a god, who fights other gods. That’s so good, but Batman is a fear who fights other fears. That’s always the easiest match to sell.
My painting of Tim Curry as Dr Frank N Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show
Happy Birthday Mr Curry thank you for awakening my interest in beautiful evil men
That's "that I can remember", there may have been other things. I have migraine meds now? Um. Things.
(I mean, also top surgery but that's a different category of physical annoyance. I did physical therapy for recovering from that too but that's all of a piece.)
Things that are fascinating to me about transition: suddenly it is worth chasing down and treating any number of "eh, whatever, that's annoying, but it's just body, what can ya do?" things.
(In the last year I have treated my pelvic floor, my lower back, some skin issues, *and* gotten ADHD meds.)

Caught a red tailed hawk album cover today. 🪶

Glasgow says it’s always Pride Month, in part because it’s always raining.
PONG!
to be fair a lot of people wanted to kick Crowley down or through something
Man, transit though. Oldest kid and I were in Edinburgh last summer and thanks to a couple tips from a local we landed a week-long bus pass and the app they had for bus navigation and we could go _anywhere_, it was fabulous.
Such anemic bus systems I have grown up with when we could have glory.
These people need to check out the history of Where Did The Highway Get Built Through if they doubt road racism.

On top of reasons of role deconstruction and bodily autonomy, this is one reason why it's so important to many people in power to eradicate trans folk.
If you're secure with yourself, feeling good BEING yourself, they can't tell you you're broken and then sell you a "fix"
I have always had a desire for a bed with curtains for that purpose.
(I may have imprinted on Dickens. Particularly _A Christmas Carol_, in which the bedcurtains are loadbearing to the plot.)
It was a topic before D&D a couple months ago, and the people in the field seemed to come down near "I have a strong, established, generate-code-and-fix-it loop and a deep intuitive understanding of how things work, so the AI speeds my process; without that time-in-grade it gets messy."
The best summary of this phenomenon I've seen was something like "Generation can help good programmers assemble code faster. Unfortunately, it also helps bad programmers ship code faster."
(So of course I made sure that my kid was aware of the Melodicka Bros cover, "7/4 Nation Army", so that they could cause sanity damage to their buddies.)
My oldest kid is a Marching Band Kid, and 7NA is one of their stand tunes, to the point that they basically rickroll each other with it.
Like, one of the band kids is in an a capella group and in one performance he pulled a trombone from behind the scenery and blasted 7NA. Clearly planned.
Things that kick around in my brain on occasion regarding that one: Lou Sullivan basically named himself after Lou Reed.
A selfie photo of me, a longhaired white trans guy with glasses. I am wearing a black t-shirt with the phrase”pretty boy” on it in swoopy pink cursive, surrounded by foliage and flowers. I also have a choker-style necklace in green and gold patterned like a snake, with the clasp being the snake head holding the curled tailtip in its jaws. I look very pleased with my nonsense.
Important announcement: I am a pretty boy with a sneklace.

Oh, that's beautifully expressive.
Oldest happened to come upstairs not long after that, so I put it on to the one line quoted, and didn't get more than "There were mo—" before kid said, "YEP."
(Video link is to the point of "There were mo—" but honestly the bit right before that is also hella Steinman.)
