SEN. @ossoff.senate.gov : “The faithless president depicts himself as Christ while he plunges the nation into wars of choice… Remember — While you pay more for everything, the First Family’s wealth is growing by billions. Because they’re crooks, and everybody knows it.”

This week I'm taking 50 kids from Rochester, NY to visit here and explore the multifaceted story of the American Revolution. I can't wait! 🇺🇲🇬🇧

A great reminder for teachers to slow down, plan thoughtfully, and teach explicitly. Depth over breadth every time.

Because we get asked a lot.

The Technological Republic, in brief.

1. Silicon Valley owes a moral debt to the country that made its rise possible. The engineering elite of Silicon Valley has an affirmative obligation to participate in the defense of the nation.

2. We must rebel against the tyranny of the apps. Is the iPhone our greatest creative if not crowning achievement as a civilization? The object has changed our lives, but it may also now be limiting and constraining our sense of the possible.

3. Free email is not enough. The decadence of a culture or civilization, and indeed its ruling class, will be forgiven only if that culture is capable of delivering economic growth and security for the public.

4. The limits of soft power, of soaring rhetoric alone, have been exposed. The ability of free and democratic societies to prevail requires something more than moral appeal. It requires hard power, and hard power in this century will be built on software.

Palantir put out a 22-point summary of their CEO's book The Technological Republic. It's pitched as a defence of the West, but if you read it through the VDA framework, verification, deliberation, accountability, what it's actually doing looks rather different.

In Jersey it doesn’t matter. You can wander into any diner on any Route across the entire state and you’ll get the exact same mirrored walls and etched glass dividers. Cake and pie counter. Bottomless coffee. Open 24 hours. You don’t even need to open a menu b/c you already know what’s on it.

Clarence Thomas ruled in favor of Citizens United.

Harlan Crow's political contributions then went up 862%.

Then we later find out Thomas let Crow take him on lavish trips, buy his mom's house, and help fund his wife's conservative nonprofit.

But go on about how "progressivism" is a problem...

Yeah, do people read the fine print? That's a LOT of cash exchanged for 125 jobs, and nowhere does it say what the electrical upgrades entail. Pulling from an already stretched grid? Wind turbine? Gas turbines? 🤷🏼‍♂️

The effective federal corporate income tax rate:

1950: 50%
1990: 25%
2020: 13%

Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate.

That is how we will pay for it.

Claudia Tenney is a conspiracy nut who has been trying to take away the voting rights of New Yorkers for years. She knows she is making shit up, she doesn't care. I hope Claudia and her cronies get embarrassed in court.
