We have a few who do it at work. I can be in a different room and know who is in the group chat by the pings.
It’s horrendous sometimes before my work phone seems to get messages a second quicker so I get buzz from phone and then ping from laptop. I’m at work, not a rave!
I am in the wrong here for not knowing what time my meeting was. But if I’d got the calls to join I would have left a half made tea and joined.
Now my laptop is dead from restarting.

My mate texts like this. He’s 5 years younger than me so I can only assume he never lived through 10p per text.
So the meeting I convinced myself was at 11:30 was actually at 11:00.
And my Outlook and Teams decided to close themselves so while I was getting a tea ready for the meeting so I didn’t get a reminder or any of the messages/calls asking me to join the meeting.
