Find an ethical, experienced loan officer and discuss ways you can work towards homeownership in this market. I don't benefit from this but I can refer you to a few good loan officers in the King/Snohomish county areas of Western Washington.
Homeownership is the foundational strength of the United States. Of course it's best for citizens to own their own homes. But a 50 year mortgage is a fool's path to it. It's an easy offering from a president who has no interest in or imagination to make housing affordable for everyone.

Seattle tonight
Wasn't that pizzagate? Always projecting.
This is why they let us take their picture. To inform the general public. Truthfully when you have a conversation with a person and they feel seen and respected they are glad to have you take their photo.
I said "oh no, no, no, not the peace sign" (it feels too cheesy to me). He said ok and switched it up to the one fingered salute. We both laughed.Most people agree they want the public to see them as human not as garbage, lazy or a nuisance.
With this series of pictures taken of Dean, I took one candid shot. Then he posed with the ubiquitous peace sign.
My policy is to always ask first. And say thank you if their answer is no. They are either human and deserve respect or they are not. I believe they are.
"But really, we hope to show the humanity and realness of people who live on the street. To show others who don't mingle with you that you are human beings."
He shared that he had been a photographer. Taken photography class in school. He thanked us for asking first before we took his picture.
This is Dean. He was okay with being photographed, but like others in the past, asked what we (my friend Aurelio & I) do with our photos. "They mostly stay in our cameras", I said.
