I'm delighted to be taking part in the upcoming Aberdeen Medieval and Early Modern conference on 25th and 26th May 2026. The theme is 'Violence in the Medieval and Early Modern North'. I'll be talking about Aberdeen's experience of the Covenanting crisis but there are lots of great papers on offer!

Labour is destroying its chance to reform the Lords This is a historic opportunity. Unless it's grasped quickly, it'll crumble before our eyes.

Crucial intervention from Meg Russell of the @conunitucl.bsky.social this week: the chance for meaningful Lords reform is crumbling before our eyes. There's still a chance to save it, but it needs to happen immediately with amendments at report stage.

It was really great to join the launch of the Early Career Researchers Network with the CPP today. I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with fellow PGRs and ECRs, hearing about their research and how we can engage with policy makers. Look forward to future events!
