Try using the mobile app.
At least its giving proper error messages for me. Not just "something" went wrong...

I had the same issue.
I tried it with the android app. It seems to have better error messages.
In my case it was an issue with my password. It was compromised and I had to choose a different one

Update: Tried it on the mobile app. There I got a "Compromised Password" error. I used a different password and I'm now waiting for the verification mail

There still seems to be an issue when creating an account...
Im getting this error whenever I try to create one.
