In a separate vote, 36 US Senators have voted to block the sale of 1,000-pound bombs to Israel which have been used in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.

Again, these are ground-breaking numbers and reflect a significant shift among US voters (and their representatives) on these issues.

Absolutely historic vote today where 40 US Senators voted to block the sale of Caterpillar D-9 bulldozers to Israel, citing civilian harm Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.

Though the measure was defeated (as expected), the tide is turning. Just last year, this number was 27.

BREAKING: A record-high 40 senators just voted to block weapons to Israel, up from 27 last July.

There is much more work to be done, but today was yet another statement that the movement for Palestinian rights is growing in the halls of power.
