A great after school meeting with Students for Fair Elections, a student organized group that made over 1300 contacts with voters this past week. They asked stellar questions about our democracy, partisanship, and how things are in Richmond. Events like this bring me so much joy!

Negotiated savings should pass to consumers, patients should not be steered to the most expensive drugs, and pharmacies should be adequately reimbursed so they can continue to operate and provide front line healthcare.

Getting there has been a battle, but this is one more great step forward.

Proud to carry one of the first key affordability bills signed by our Governor - PBM reform.

We deserve transparency in our healthcare system and PBMs, the prescription drug middlemen, have been operating in the dark for too long.

This year I passed legislation for a barrier crime waiver and state correction action/help for struggling local Dept. of Social Services. 2 years ago I worked on creating placement agreements to prevent foster care and boost kinship placement. I talk about those and more.

The work of wartime fitness resonates with me (even as a very much non boxer). They mentor and uplift kids and their model works - homegrown support, on the ground, for kids who need a hand.

A paper showing: Call the Governor to request she sign this bill into law: 804-186-2211 gavernor.

HB6SO: This bill protects public safety. It sets clear parameters for civil and administrative arrests in and around state courthouses, schools, hospitals, and polling locations.
Passed the House 62-Y 35-N,
Passed the Senate 21-Y 18-N.
Problem: Since January 2025, ICE has increased warrantless arrests in public spaces throughout Virginia. In 85 percent of cases, agents did not wear any clear identification. When immigration enforcement actions happen in and around courts, schools, hospitals, and polling locations, a chilling ripple effect occurs far beyond the individual targeted.
As a result:
• Courts: Victims, witnesses, and defendants may avoid court appearances.
• Schools and Colleges: Students and families may disengage from the education process.
• Hospitals: Patients may delay or avoid medical care.
• Polling locations: Voters may feel intimidated and not exercise their right to vote.

DKMS Patient Update
Hi Katrina,
I hope you are well. We have received an update on your patient's health from their transplant center. The information we receive is very general and does not give specifics.
We were informed that your patient was alive as of their last reported contact with the transplant center in November. I'm pleased to share this great news with you.

My random happy news of the day. I registered to be a bone marrow donor in 2009 (they need more multiracial people in the registry) …got a call in 2025 to donate. It was EASY and meaningful, and I got an email today that it is working. ❤️
