Well, not much came out of talking to them today, but the surgeon's nurse practitioner and her workplace are both angry about it, so here's hoping something comes out of it as opposed to nothing at all 😵‍💫

Hopefully something will come out of all the effort, but just... ugh. To be ready for it and then have it snatched out from under you last minute for some made up bullshit reasons is another level of messed up :^(

Same here, the last insurance she had was bad for sure, but we've NEVER had this problem before?? And every review for it I've seen is nothing but similar complaints: They get paid, but they don't want to do a damn thing... except run you in circles until you give up :^/

I'm sorry to be like this but oh my god I'm livid and I genuinely do not know what to do. I'm hoping whoever she calls tomorrow can ACTUALLY do something about this, but I'm really not sure at this point.

I think I'm gonna go lie down.

Six phone calls and two hours of being told "it's not bad enough" (the surgeon said it was), "you need to do this first" (didn't help last time and the surgeon said that it wouldn't help this time), and insisting she go to a hospital that botched her last major surgery.

What a fucking scam.

It's certainly disappointing, but hopefully we can figure something out; As long as I've got anything to say about it, one way or another, she WILL get that surgery 😤

As for paying it off herself, OUGH that'd be a nightmare. I'm not sure what it'd cost without insurance, but it'd probably take more than one extra person to help cover it all, that's for sure-

Unfortunately it's very real and we're definitely not the only ones. IIRC, I heard there were like 10 other people who got needlessly declined right before we did, and even the nurse we talked to said she hated how much of a scam they are 😔

For real, now we've gotta wait to see if the appeal goes through, and who knows if that'll even work out... It was all going so smoothly up until now, too 😭
