Transformers. I had #3 as a little kid, and read it over and over until I started collecting around #40.
They did and I hate it.
G1 Shockwave is really beautiful, but really fragile and awkward. He would be great.
The Firecons would be a lot of fun.
Is the Guardian misunderstanding things, is or your characterization of the DNC as a little powerless group of functionaries wildly false? Because it looks like they can keep handing control to a lobby that’s become wildly unpopular with the party’s voters.

It’s not a business, it’s a constitutionally mandated service. It doesn’t lose money, it spends money.
A standing army is not a constitutionally mandated service, and you don’t describe its spending as a “loss”
I’m sure it’s frustrating to see these networks lumped in as “the DNC” when you work at the literal DNC and this doesn’t happen in your building. I’m sure you’re speaking in good faith here, and the rest of us probably need better terminology. But I have a hard time squaring this with observations.
When you say there’s nothing here, just a “web of group-chats and social media posts, convenings and dinners,” that is something, right? Voters aren’t invited to these chats. On the Republican side we’ve seen the power of private chats, or networks like Epstein’s.
It didn’t go great.

Chogokin Robocar City Robo and Ace Robo
I can't justify the price I saw these for but that packaging is just BEAUTIFUL
description from Huntington library: "A lithograph printed on heavy paper. Satirical "death certificate" issued for the Southern Confederacy. Cartoon of a Union soldier drinking a jug of water labeled Rebel reads in front of a burning Atlanta
Happy 161st Confederate Surrender Day to you and yours
In 2016 a lot of us dopes genuinely thought that conservatism or at least a version of conservatism might be over. It could never come back after Trump. And I guess that bore out but not in the way we hoped.
To clarify, this was when everyone was still confident Clinton would win in a blowout.
Election night 2016, ABC had Glenn Beck on their panel. Instead of contributing to the analysis he spent the whole night flop sweating about how he’s a liberal now, honest. It’s all a con.
What if we beat China at their international relations game of handing out hospitals and being a reliable partner. We can do it if we try.

A painting (used as a magazine poster) by Earl Norem of various Masters of the Universe characters fighting
I do believe there is such a thing as good art and bad art. But I also believe there should be a museum of toy packaging and marketing art so I can stand in front of this Masters of the Universe poster by Earl Norem and talk about its composition like it's The School of Athens
Sure the contraption that got us to the moon was cool but have you seen
No problem at all. And I hope I’m wrong and this 25th amendment stuff does the job! We could all use a break.
That’s not impeachment, that’s passing the buck entirely to Republicans.
I am once again deeply ashamed to be represented by @elfreth.house.gov
Good God, you wont even use the word “impeachment”. You’re nowhere near the bare minimum response needed.
The reason that the US President has the exclusive authority to order the use of nuclear weapons is because Truman set up the system along those lines after WWII. This is often depicted as either a power grab, or because in the nuclear age such decisions "must" be made quickly. This is false.
My condolences.
I’ve watched some early, weird stuff: Omer the Tourist in Star Trek (1973, Turkish Ernest P. Worrel), Paragon’s Paragon (1974, 70s longhairs adapting a bad novel), and Yorktown: A Time to Heal (1985, finished 2002). I think I’m good. Might try some Phase II.
When I was planning my Star Trek rewatch I did some research into the various fan series; that’s a path I just can’t walk.
That’s his new Cyberworld toy. It’s a truck. These are about the size of the old basic/scout class.
Small simple toys. Green turtle, blue rhino, purple gorilla, and yellow tiger.
The same toys transformed into multicolored, simple robots with tiki faces and weirdly beefy arms.
Arby’s Jungle Zoids were a Beast Wars style line from 1996. I’d never heard of them until @adam16bit.bsky.social discovered them last week.
I like the stylized beast modes and the bright colors. The Trogdor arms on most of them aren’t good, but they’re charming.

You could be calling Republicans in Congress, which you’re part of, to whip up votes for impeachment. I’m not asking you to do it for the country; but think of the donations you’d get.
