I used to have a lot of negative self talk. I started by turning every negative self talk into a pep talk: “alright you lazy POS time to gym” became “how cool that we get to push ourselves and use our body” and now it’s become a default, I treat myself like a teammate rather than an adversary now.

Sometimes I give myself pep talks before I can do anything. They just happen spontaneously. Today’s was “babe, you’re good at your job, and your life, let’s do it”

And I’m not sure exactly what being good at my life means but it helped.

I love having a wide and varied toolset but changing the keyboard shortcuts across programs kills me, the amount of times I hit X (the blender delete shortcut )in Figma is diabolical. Or the amount of times I hit ⌘ Shift { In Figma (The illustrator sink to bottom shortcut). It might actually end me.
