Books will be written about how much Unionism's position accelerated a vote for Irish unity by picking the wrong, and self-defeating, side. And, adding a second slice of stupidity, they'll form alliances again with GB parties that'll ditch NI in a heartbeat to satiate their English base.

A second hand bookshop in Dundonald (Stacks) is closing in a week as the owner is retiring. There's still plenty of stock left. This lot cost £3, total.

You probably already know but the co-codamol can cause severe constipation quite quickly, defending on the strength. Hope you get things sorted out quickly. Took me about 3 years from scan to operation.

Did they give you co-codamol?

Just seeing this. Good that you're getting home but not so good that you're in discomfort. Hopefully they've plugged you into the system for a consultant appointment. I spent years both sides of COVID dealing with outpatient dept for kidney stone issues which finished with an operation.

Just sent the email declining the settlement agreement. Stressed to bits as I'm expecting my boss to react very badly to me exercising my free will rather than accept being coerced into complying with what he wants to impose.

Bone-Strengthening Discovery Could Reverse Osteoporosis A little-known receptor may reshape how scientists approach bone loss.

Amazing, potentially.

Second today for me. It's been so hard to get a properly dry spell to cut this last while. Looks like there'll be the smell of BBQs in the air this weekend.

The Ravenhill Rd/Ormeau Embankment pedestrian and cycle scheme goes public tomorrow.

This is a chance to create an active travel corridor in South East Belfast, leading into the city centre. I would encourage all who want to see liveable, cleaner streets locally to support this.

Surely there's a space, either on broadcast TV or online, for a news channel that covers news but excludes anything Trump says. It would be so much more watchable and you'd lose nothing from the exclusion of the shit he babbles, and your daily stress level would automatically be 50% less.

Accidentally locked the shed padlock keys inside the shed after doing some work in the garden. Screwed the hasp off the shed to open the door again then realised the padlock had been through the unimpeded hole on the bolt bracket anyway.
I'm available for shit DIY jobs all week.

The inside of my car looks clean about twice a year, immediately after a bit of intensive hoovering. Today is one of those two times.

Plenty of farmland, and plenty of land not even that useful for farming, so I don't think we even have to use (more expensive) offshore or the mountains.

This made me look up the NI share now, which is unfortunately a lot lower. It seems such an easy win for NI to erect more wind turbines, and simplify solar use. There seems to be no impetus to do so, even now in the middle of a fuel crisis.

Belfast: 'No data gathered' on taxis in bus lanes No data has yet been collected on the use of taxis in Belfast bus lanes, a government official says.

Most of our MLAs are useless at their jobs, part of which is oversight of government departments, so this comes as no surprise.
What I'd add to this is I hope they check use of bus lanes by private taxis outside city centre, which they're not supposed to do.
