The most intimidating interview board I've ever faced.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS RATTER
Congratulations to @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social for another splendid Festival of Film/TV in St Albans. Always a fun weekend with a great variety of interesting guests.
I think about this Tony Benn speech much more than I used to
“2026 is the year of the horse”
The horse:
It’s only been a year
"I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace"
I think it must be from when Peter Davison and Sandra Dickinson did JNT's Cinderella Pantomime in Tunbridge Wells back in 1982 (I was 10). Santa would have been in the grotty Xmas grotto in the basement of Chiesman's/Army and Navy department store (Very "Are you being served")

Happy Thanksgiving to all the American Whovians. Don't forget to thoroughly defrost your Ergon.

Tonight's Episode:
@tonightsepisode.bsky.social
“You’ll be visited by three spirits.” <hic>
I'm really looking forward to watching these. Are you showing all of the surviving episodes? BBC released a few on tape/DVD a very long time ago but I know a few have turned up since, through private film collectors and projects like BFI's Rising Believed Wiped.
REV. BLACK (who was shot in the head with a pepper ball): “If this is what they’re doing to pastors, journalists, teachers, mothers, and the elderly gathered to sing and pray outside ICE facilities… what might they be doing to our neighbors who are behind those walls?”
Nice. Did you see "Amelia Ducat" in yesterday's episode? 1976 and an eccentric old lady becomes the victim of a rare painting theft. Sadly it wasn't a painting of a Snakehead Fritillary and it wasn't stolen from a Daimler car boot, but otherwise the similarities with Seeds of Doom were remarkable.
Well worth a listen for anyone with any interest in the preservation of classic film and TV.
I was standing, you were there, two worlds collided, and they could never tear us apart...
I do love these. So informative in just 8 minutes. Always a treat to recognise local places as they were 55+ years ago. I just caught up with yesterday's episode on flood warning and recognised the bridge at Teston in Kent and nearby fields at Yalding and Teapot Island. They still flood most years.
The only invasion is from fascist billionaires like Trump. Why would anyone listen to advice from this deranged felon and his circus of arsesucking goons?
Matthew 18:19. "There's no such thing as Macra, Macra do not exist!"
So hot and humid in Sussex. Decided to do Only Fans but not sure I'm doing it right...
This is who runs the account (and he still overacts quite wildly whenever he sees a Dalek).
Happy Pride Month!

Congratulations! Thank you for the many hours of viewing pleasure such at Look at Life, Footage Detectives and all the rare archive film/TV gems. Not to mention your excellent weekend events at St Albans and Christchurch. Here's to your next decade (and to many more to come). Good luck! :)
There's a nice one still on display at Alfriston in East Sussex.
