Joyful Candlemas celebration at St John's, Inverness this morning with three young members of the congregation Confirmed.

Wonderful day on the Black Isle as Fr Alex Lane was Instituted as Rector.

After meetings in Edinburgh it was back to the North. Addressing the Lassies and Laddies at the Cathedral Burns supper, Confirmation of Alex at St Donnan's, Nostie, congregational meeting and Evensong at Kishorn and finally Choral Evensong at the Cathedral.

Chilly but beautiful drive to church this morning.

A peaceful and prayerful day thinking about the year to come.

1970 Eucharist in Thurso followed by the congregational AGM. Study group in a very snowy Wick and then waiting for Jane's train at Georgemas Junction. Home now and a small dram before bed.

Early drive down through the Diocese to preach and preside at the Cathedral. This evening I was back for one of my favourite services of the year, The Advent Carrol service. "Lo! he comes with clouds descending"

Heading to St Margaret's, Aberlour in the morning. Service at 10.00am followed by their AGM.
Today we sheltered from the wind in Lybster and watched the waves at the harbour.
