My apologies to the greater Calgary community for taking the snow tires off my car last week. My bad.

Two out of the last three rides to work I have waited at a signalled crosswalk for the light to change, and upon proceeding have had cars that were full on stopped at a red light proceed to just run it while I am in the crosswalk.
42 Ave & 1 St SE intersection is a terrible design.
I found this Calgary 1996 cycle plan while googling something else. It has a lot of great ideas and optimism, and highlights how stalled progress has been over the last 30 years.

I left a bunch of feedback today, but had to stop to let my blood pressure drop. 😂
There are some good ideas here but a lot of it is just paint.
It was kind of a wild ride this morning. Had a couple wiggles in corners but kept it upright. Putting a foot down was an eye opener, it didn't look that slippery.
Every time I see that graphic, the jingle for Alberta 75 beer plays in my head. (The Beer for the Year!)

Next phase of engagement has started for a SW bikeway. This would be a great connection if done right. engage.calgary.ca/sw-neighbour.... #yycbike
Interesting that I took the "road" route instead of the pathway route to work this morning that is 2 km (~22%) shorter and it took just as long due to waiting at lights and stop signs.
Things I find in the back of the closet. Seemed apropos. Wonder if I'll get any comments around the office 😁
The camera bird feeder the kiddos got us remains a fave.
I noticed last week that the mid-road plastic sign in front of our neighborhood elementary school was finally mowed down. After many glancing blows.
It is right at the crosswalk with the patrollers and full blinking lights. School drop off is bedlam in the morning
Quite the place to stop for the black pickup truck. 🙄
Right? Thanks Pog for saving me a couple hours on a Saturday morning. 😂
Should I just go back to bed?
Fifth!!!! What a race.
Waking up early on the weekend to good news, Magdeleine Vallieres is in the lead group!!! 🇨🇦 #stradebianche
That was me yesterday with a full load of groceries 😂 Peddling faster and spinning more, but I did make it to the top. Kind of solidified the decision that I'm not getting one more season out of the ice spikers.
Good to see you as always. 👍
Sandy Beach hill was a bit glossy in the corners. Kudos to the rider ahead of me kicking the back end around on the switchbacks. 😂
Small life improvement - was assembling a mirror from IKEA and was struggling to get enough torque on the Phillips screws to tighten up the connections. Turns out, they aren't Phillips, they are Pozidrive. Procured a Pozidrive screwdriver and everything went together like magic.
Sure sign of spring just around the corner, picked up a bunch of Okotoks Dawgs baseball tickets for the upcoming season. ❤️⚾
On a brighter note, unreal day to be out and about today.
Gross. That bit is often quite the mess
City of Calgary truck completely blocking the path by Heritage Park. Their reply when they came sauntering back, as I was pushing my bike through the snow, was "I'm not perfect"

Small thing - taking the geriatric blind pupper out in the sunshine to sniff until her heart's content, even though we only get one house away, lifts the weight of watching her decline just a bit.
