The supplier of these ones also has refills too, which is nice. I've half a mind to order some so at least the barrel can be reused when the original ink runs out.

This feels like Spaceballs even though I know it's categorically not.

It's some kind of material mix that adds a touch more weight and uses less plastic. Helps my sustainability goals: less plastic and a more premium finish so people are less likely to immediately throw them away.

I ordered a bunch of Prodir promo pens for work and I'm unreasonably excited to have them arrive.

The stone finish feels super nice and the clicker is lovely and responsive.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but *squee*

Wait really? I'd assumed it was "kiss your carving knife".

Also, wasn't Perplexity throwing their hat in the ring for a "merger" a minute ago? What even happened with that?

I have a soft spot for Scrubs, primarily because it was so dedicated to not being hyperbolic about the medical procedures it depicted. But it get a black mark because the whole will-they-won't-they thing with JD and Elliott got super exhausting.

Slow Horses is a rock solid spy thriller made even better because Gary Oldman plays a delightfully jaded, snarky bitch.

Casino operator Star 'on its knees' as analyst predicts collapse At casinos, the odds are never in a punter's favour. Now the chances of losing it all have been turned back onto one of Australia's biggest casino operators. How did the company get to this point?

Extract from an ABC News article on Star Casino's financial troubles. Relevant text is highlighted.

"...top analyst predicting Star Entertainment Group has a 50 per cent chance of going into administration. That is odds of 1:1 - the same as flipping a coin playing two-up on Anzac Day."

I'm no mathematician, but I'm pretty sure you flip *two* coins when playing Two-Up.

Also, why are you referencing Two-Up at all? It's got bugger all to do with a casino going under.

Slowly picking my way through a potentially contested trademark process, going ever greyer as I do.

And to think, when I first started in this industry I thought I'd be making cool advertisements.

Gotta love bundled consent.

It's not enough to offer a seasonal discount on your products, you've got to hide the discount behind a cashback offer that shares your personal data with two different organisations AND requires that you accept their marketing material.

I'm so tired of this crap.

I bet he just says this stuff for the joy he gets watching thousands of investor wonks suddenly lurch frantically about trying to anticipate his next move. It's just flexing on how many people he can get to move at once.

Am I innovative and looking for ways to improve our processes? Or have I jumped the gun on a shiny new toy when I should have been doing other, more productive work.

Probably the latter, but if anyone at work asks, it's the former.

This is profoundly niche, but I found out today that Hubspot has a new object type for services.

I enthusiastically go to figure out how it works, only to find there's no documentation on it yet.

Apparently I'm early to the party and I don't know if this is good or bad.

It's a lovely afternoon for winding down and playing guitar at my neighbours from the front porch.

My chord transitions are still pretty woeful, but I'm just good enough that I can enjoy the music without shitting on myself too hard.
