id love to get a silicon MacBook someday, the age of this shows pretty bad in Tahoe; i tried Arch on mine and it performed just fine but had some kernel issues that still need to be addressed.
i was looking at ebay for M1's and theyre actually cheaper than the Neo and perform surprisingly similar.

it is one of the last intel macs to be fair, probably why its a lot higher. it may be a case of me being a pretty hardcore user of computers, but to me it feels like user-hostile and environment-hostile behavior
