The Undying Legion books are piratable, as are some others, so notable enough! Probably just takes a while :P

True! I'll actually buy it anyway, considering the excellent price point, and since I'm a reformed buccaneer who got a letter of marque. Besides, I'm not sure you are famous enough yet to be piratable very quickly (no offense)!

But what if I'm going to pirate it like the most vile buccaneer imaginable?!

Angine de poitrine are clearly industry plants. Just two little weird plants. 🌿

An absolutely wonderful video, and it includes my favourite random topic to think and talk about - the satanic panic! When Qanon & pizzagate nonsense got going years ago, all I could think of was, oh the satanic panic is back. The frauds who have published various wild lies truly have done damage.

This continues to be my favourite part of US "democracy", from a population 340 million only this small set of families and their friends are somehow president material. Impossible to find better candidates, the country barely has people in it.

Analysis Finds That Google's AI Overviews Are Providing Misinformation at a Scale Possibly Unprecedented in the History of Human Civilization A new analysis commissioned by The New York Times suggests that Google's AI Overviews are wrong an astonishing percentage of the time.

Google’s AI Overviews are providing “tens of millions of wrong answers … every hour — and hundreds of thousands every minute.”

wow, i love the AI future!

If you happen to point out that it's weird, sure, academics are often nice and reasonable, but there's some who go "Yes, because you can't be neutral and objective from within your own culture. An outsider perspective is needed." Which of course doesn't apply when they talk about their own culture.

A great time with a kind of cultural imperialism. It's funny to even encounter it in academic circles. For example, there might be a Eastern European Studies conference somewhere, which has one token panel of actual easterners, and the rest are western academics from all the fancy universities.

I've given the occasional lecture here-and-there, generally local, so alas there isn't much else available in video form or such. Haven't really had the chance to build this whole idea out to a more coherent theory either, to be honest! Maybe one day!

Alongside part 6 of the /noclip documentary here is me talking for three and a half hours for some ungodly reason! It's generally a lot of the things I've said elsewhere, now collected into a single interview. Maybe it's time to get new thoughts!

My thanks to the 41st Precinct for the fun chat!

:D Well, I'm in the California of Estonia, which is Tallinn? Or Tartu, occasionally. It's basically all California here, other than the weather.

I still regret getting that early morning flight back home! Should've stayed around, partied even harder.

I am, for the moment. Though can't mention anything else yet. I'm on some coming-out-of-burnout slow recovery writing.

This is the end, my friend!
I must congratulate Danny & the rest of the team for the series. This was a lot of work! Danny's 41st Precinct interview was also very enlightening.

in 2016 a group of strangers in Kazakhstan saved a dog from drowning by forming a human chain to reach him. they just unveiled a statue commemorating the event and I'm genuinely about to start sobbing

back in the day the Night Vale bois had a great podcast about writing, with an episode about 'writer's block' not being real, but in the sense that behind it is likely some other undealt, possibly unacknowledged, issue. so the concept may even obfuscate the actual thing that's bothering someone.

So I've heard! I've got no coding or other similar design background, woe, I am but a narrative designer. But I imagine I can figure it all out ovoer time - just gotta get current projects done and focus on the study of AGS.

It has even, among a couple other recent games, inspired me to check out AGS and other relevant programs for some personal adventure-gamey projects. I've got ideas. I will make them happen. :D
