A low angle shot of the Late Victorian League on a quayside. In the background a submarine - Nemo’s Nautilus- looms into sight from the waters hidden by the quayside. Left to right, we’re shown Mr Hyde, Cpt Nemo, Mina Murray, Allan Quatermain, and Hawley Griffin the Invisible Man. They are clearly ready for trouble.

An absolutely splendid depiction by John McCrea & Gerhard of Alan Moore & Kevin O’Neill’s League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen. (Also, a top-notch sea-gull at stage-right.)

Awful news. In the early days of the internet there wa a well populated Adam hughes fan group and occasionally Adam would take part in a chat, he always seemed like a lovely fellah (and I’ve always loved his mucha inspired turn) (so many painted covers he did colouring with a mouse!)

The DC work in progress editions have been a mixed bag, mostly crap. But the Capullo Metal one is great if you like this sort of thing.

In this panel by Kevin Nowlan, notice where an edge line is sometimes not drawn or completed.
That creates more natural light. Reduces artificiality/mechanical-ness, or stiffness.
It's aesthetically pleasing.

A pencil drawing of a sad woman standing among lotus leaves. Three great blue herons surround her, pulling out pieces of her heart to feast upon (this is stylized and not gory or scary).

I keep drawing people with either missing hearts, hearts being devoured or eaten, or things pouring out from their hearts. i'm sure that's nothing I need to worry about or think too deeply about, lol

In the ruins of an underground subway, OMAC is jumped by a gang of hideous monsters.

Four double-page spreads from 1974’s all-too-short series “OMAC” by Jack Kirby & D. Bruce Berry.

With every passing year OMAC reveals itself to be more & more prescient. The first few issues in particular spell out Kirby’s fears about a future controlled by the super-rich & their super-technology.
