This will be a day long remembered! 😉

I’ve had to resort to the Earplanes for every flight now. 🙄

Glad you’re doing better.

As a descendant of the operator of the business in that location before Meyer, it’s even more incredible. Hats off to them. 😉

A we-work space owned by a contributor that’s off any main street, and forcing you to go to three different locations to get one thing approved. 🙄

Just saw your other post. It’s not that complicated, but it’s time consuming.

We had to deal with an unknown family member’s succession right at start of COVID. The hard part is figuring out what the estate owes & owns & who’s in line 1st. I hope the process is simple for you and your family.

I’m sorry for your loss.

I’ve dealt with Doug Sunseri in Metairie for the craziest succession and other family issues.

I know exactly what you mean. King Louie is still drifting around New Orleans, especially in springtime.

Toad sipped his tea. “Frog,” he asked, “are you making this up?”

“Maybe yes and maybe no,” said Frog.

I see the dust on my car every other day and wonder where it comes from. As my father across the street is a lung cancer survivor. 😐

Meanwhile, every citizen is paying the Corpse $1,000,000 per foot dredged per mile to the Gulf. 60 miles x the extra 10 feet is a non-zero expense every taxpayer will have to pick up. All for two, maybe three ships per week. The math don’t math. 🙄

The Port claims the cranes/etc they’ll build will be sales taxed at purchase, but that’s a hard logic pretzel I don’t understand.

Da Parish currently gains a minimal amount of property tax from the houses in Violet that will be knocked down. Once the Port takes over, we can’t tax the state entity.

Will it create jobs? Yes. Some truck drivers and construction. Beyond that, maybe 20 crane operators. Do any of them want to live by where they work? We know from the taillights leaving Da Parish everyday from the refineries the answer to that.

Nearly 500k Louisiana voters on inactive list ahead of closed primary.

Because so much is happening all at once this has not made as big of a dent in the local news cycle as it should. #nolasky Check your registration and make sure you're listed as an active voter!

I think both Plaquemines and St Bernard need to start looking into desalination plants, cause that’s coming like a freight train for our communities. 😐

Always has been. I feel bad for the people that reside in Violet and think it’s not happening. At best, they’ll be lowballed by the state with a minimal expropriation offer to take their home.

Spending billions on port infrastructure to make pennies. And not many of them. 🙄

I noticed how they glossed over the fact the Port will have the Corpse dredge to 60 feet, not 50, when the Violet takeover happens.

The other part I chuckled at was “regional cooperation” to build a water plant.

In the Stone Ages, an office I would visit had one of these in the break room and encouraged employees to smoke wherever. I’m on a crew with six smokers and me. I’d come home, and my wife would ask if I was up to two or three packs a day. 🙄

You’d think a rep or senator whose district will be in those chopping block numbers would be screeching to the sky about the harm being done, but only silence. #partyovercountry

So painful to read Federalist 76, which is about the president's appointment power, in 2025.

Hamilton's like, no president would be so degenerate as to appoint only those "personally allied to him," esp since Senate confirmation would 'silently operate' as an "excellent check" on such attempts
