Just wrapped up an interview with Kyle O'Reilly that will go up sometime this week. I had him pick which sitcoms each member of The Conglomeration would be best in lol

It was CRAAAAAZY. 😂😂😂😂
Fuck that bird. 😂 Go lizard!!!!! 🙌
I think it's an ornate tree lizard. The bird was a thrasher. Total punk, that bird.
I'm so glad he got away! I love observing the wildlife around me, and am very rooted in the "nature's gonna nature" vibe.
But I was ROOTING for that lizard! I've grown quite attached to him!
I'm glad he made it. Screw that bird. 😂
I have a lizard that lives in my mesquite tree.
He's my little buddy!
I was watching him come down, and was just about to take a picture, and then
A BIRD SWOOPED IN, CLAWS OUTSTRETCHED, AND TRIED TO EAT HIM.
He got away! The bird crashed into the tree, looked confused, and flew off in a huff.
I didn’t watch the weekend shows, but I’m super happy for Danhausen.
It was obvious he was comedian level funny, and his shtick works perfectly for kids and adults.
He knew he had gold, and stuck to his path, and it’s wonderful to see someone succeed like that.
OH MY GOD how am I just seeing this?!
AMAZING. 😂👏👏👏
Thank you!!!!! ❤️

So, I was just a short distance from Don Callis and yelled "Amy from Wrestlejoy says "Fuck you!" but I don't think he heard me. He did have the headset on.

Gil Duran tweet: TLDR: Fascism in response to Palantir's long fascists screed on X.
"Your Account is Suspended" Message on X
The CEO of Palantir posted a fascist manifesto on X.
I pointed out that it was fascist—which resulted in a permanent suspension from X (my second time!).
So, when you hear the tweeters complaining that BlueSky is intolerant, remember why many of us came here in the first place.
Thank you so much for the great recommendations!
Ooooh ill have to check it out! Years ago, there was a sale on the iBird Pro app, where it was $30 at the time but I got it for around $5. Idk if it's still a thing, but I still use it for IDs and bird calls!
I'll definitely check out Merlin though. Having it from Cornell is great! 🙌
A leafhopper assassin bug nymph on a tropical milkweed branch. It has a long curved abdomen, it's body is yellow with long legs and antennae, with black and white spots all over it
And here's the other one that was on my milkweed plant on the opposite side of the garden!
I was trimming the plant back so I could get better airflow. But then I saw this, and that ended the trimming time. 😂
Now they get to just do their thing and vibe (and EAT) with the aphids and sap suckers!
I do! It's so much fun to see photos be verified enough to reach research status. 🥹 And it's neat when something I think is one species, turns out to be quite another entirely!
I'm still new to it, but am looking forward to participating in some of the citizen science collection projects. It's fun!
This is the second one I've spotted in the same day, and in a different location.
Because it's an assassin, I've named it Will Ospreay. But not just this one. Every leafhopper assassin will be called Will Ospreay from now on! 😂
When deciding to make a fully organic wildlife habitat for pollinators, I've also ended up with a garden filled with the biodiversity of all kinds of life!
It's SO exciting. ❤️❤️❤️
I've LOVED discovering and cateloging the wildlife in my garden.
It's especially rewarding to see beneficial predators like this, because that means:
There's enough food for it to eat
There's enough food and shelter for the adult to lay eggs and make it a home for the babies
A yellow and black assassin bug nymph on the bright green leaves of a Gregg's Mistflower. It has a curved abdomen, long legs and antennae, and it has black and white spots and stripes all over its body
Here's a Leafhopper Assassin Bug nymph from my garden!
This assassin lives up to its name, in that the nymphs eat everything, and they have a voracious appetite.
Like mantids, they use their front legs to grab aphids, whiteflies, thrips, and more, and DEVOUR them!
I've named it Will Ospreay. :)

A picture of a Checkered White Butterfly on a yellow Gaillardia flower
I love this SO MUCH OMG. I took so many photos of this butterfly! I've seen them flying around and near the bed. My husband has seen them on the flowers.
But this is the first time *I* got to see them on the flowers!
A picture of a Checkered White Butterfly on a yellow Gaillardia flower
I got my first butterfly (that I saw) in my nectar bed!!!!🦋
It's a Checkered White and it's beautiful! ❤️
The bees and butterflies absolutely LOVE the Gaillardia. They visit it on a daily basis!
Considering these gardens are specifically FOR the pollinators, I'm definitely adding more next year!
Yes!!! Our neighborhood has a lot of long term people in it. That's something we learned when we bought our house - some people have been here for 60 years or more!
I love most of my neighbors (except one lol). If we don't talk regularly, we're at least "wave and say hello" neighbors!
Aren't we all?
Yay!!! My front yard is dedicated to pollinators! I love that your backyard is too, that makes me so happy!!!
It feels so good to take care of nature like this, doesn't it? And getting to see all the critters that come to visit, feed, and make our space their home, is so rewarding! ❤️
I added them into the thread just now! ❤️
Two tomato trellises with giant tomato vines climbing over them
A picture of a flower garden with marigolds, milkweed, lavender, Angelonias, daisies, amaranth, and more
A picture of tomatoes, marigolds, and blackberries on a trellis
Here is the other part they like to talk about! The tomatoes are first year, just about everything else is second year!

A picture of small starters of desert milkweed, Angelita daisies, firecracker penstemon, and pink and orange globemallows
A picture of desert marigolds, Angelita daisies, and Parry's Penstemon
Here is the area adjacent to the nectar station (raised bed). These are all first year (first month, really - these were planted at end of March/early April) native plants!
Milkweeds (the large one is second year), globemallows, penstemons, desert marigolds, and Angelita daisies!

A picture of a White Guara plant in aa bright green flower container
A picture of pink, hot pink, and fuscia Vinca flowers in white pots in a tiered plant holder
Garden photos part 1! This is the area that my neighbors walk by and talk about all the time. :) I built the raised bed in February, and put the containers together this month. All of these plants are in their first year!
