Ya. Its much easier to just be mad without really knowing what's going on. But (evidently!!!) the system falls apart unless a large proportion of the electorate dedicates time and energy to holding leaders accountable.
Seems like americans need a mechanism to hold elected officials accountable DURING their terms. Like a recall if people hate them too much.

I mean, the Reps and Dems are essentially entrenched corruption imo. Its in their DNA. I agree there is a significant chance a 3P settles into yhe same pattern. But I think the chances are improved by shuffling the deck as much as possible.
one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things
