Sad to hear that James Tolkan from the Back to the Future trilogy and Top Gun has sadly passed away.

A very quotable actor. He had the best lines…Stinger in Top Gun “Your ego is writing checks your body can't cash" and Strickland in Back to the Future “You're a slacker" RIP

War Machine on Netflix was great. Hadn’t heard a thing about it, went in blind. Kinda thinking it was An Officer and a Gentleman type movie because of the beginning. Thought it was about passing the course 🤣

Next thing there’s an off world fighting machine chasing them all.

Absolutely brilliant!

Watching Young Sherlock Holmes on Amazon Prime and because I skip the intro, I missed the fact that the theme tune is “Days are Forgotten” by Kasabian! Nice!

Anyone ever get hit by a huge amount of nostalgia all of a sudden from doing very little? I could be sat there and instantly get a feeling of something from the past.

It’s that familiar I can taste it.

Only happened since I turned 40.

I’ve never mentioned it to anyone as it’s a weird feeling.

I watched To Live and Die in LA a few nights ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. What a crazy film! Certainly not a polished film by any stretch but what an ending.

Also an incredible soundtrack by Wang Chung!

I don’t say this lightly, but I’ve enjoyed the Winter Olympics more than I have the summer Olympics.

The Men’s Big Air final has been crazy. What an exciting sport to watch. BBC commentary team was brilliant. Every competitor happy for the guy next to him regardless of which country they’re from. Great spirit.

How very sad to hear about James Van Der Beek. Grew up watching Dawsons Creek.

Enjoyed him in The Rules of Attraction in 2002.

I watched the Dawsons read through on YouTube last year where he wasn’t well enough to attend. Proper nostalgia trip.

RIP

Caught up with last weekends episode of A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms….its a beautifully shot episode, first off. The fog later in the episode is eerie and cold.

The light heartedness and of previous episodes has turned on its head. Hope this doesn’t change Dun The Talls outlook on life!

Wasn’t feeling great yesterday. Managed to catch my daughters cold and it hit like a bus. Man-flu. But while I was feeling sorry for myself, I binge watched the new series of The Lincoln Lawyer.

Another great series! Goes from strength to strength.

Fallout Season 2 finished. Loved Thaddeus and hope he’s around in season 3. Enjoyed this season more than the first. It really is good television.

I had the same look on my face as Dunk at the end of the episode. Egg is really sweet and his interaction with the horse made me laugh.

Wonder Man….didnt really know what to expect. Not heard much about the comic book version either. But was surprised by how good it was. Simon and Trevor are a great double act and they steadily lean on each other & bring the best out of one another. Great origin story.

Free Bert definitely has that second hand embarrassment feel about it. It’s cringe. You know he’s gonna mess up. But you gotta watch it.

Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart - watched this open mouthed. Just staggered that someone can walk into a family home and walk out with a child. The kid was strong despite all the things that happened to her. Well worth a watch.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms:

He’s a big softy, is Dunc. Nice that in the world of Westeros, he’s not an arse.

Seems a bit stupid but I’m putting that down to being massively naive. He may slouch but hopefully we’ll see that chest puff out a bit as the series pushes on.

I’m watching Field of Dreams (one of my fave sport films) and I only found out just before Christmas that the baseball pitch they made for the film is still there and people visit it. Blown my mind when I heard!
