keeping it minimal is kind of a necessity in my case because it all lives in the preload and I don't bundle that (for now), which limits our ability to use external modules in the preload.

what modules/approaches have you looked at? any examples of something you're trying to do?

IPC for the Electron app I work on is pretty minimal and some of it is abstracted via a module that's really only used by ourselves πŸ˜„ (github.com/digidem/rpc-...), so I've been okay with the limitations.

tangent, but similar experience with Notion. I remember when it used to be a solid and minimal note taking app πŸ₯²

the unfortunate irony is that it's been downhill in terms of my interest in what they've been building since initial discovery. not really their fault obviously but interesting to reflect on what interests me in recent years πŸ€”

yep that's exactly what happened. I actually liked what they were doing with Hyperlink Academy and that's how I initially became familiar. Met the team a couple of times while they were building pre-atproto Leaflet and before I knew it, they had gone all in πŸ˜„

correction: meant to say "thought", not "figured"

awesome, makes sense! at a glance I figured there would be some overlap - both look great and looking forward to following and exploring more.

@marktomlinson.dev Maybe a naive question because I haven't done a deep dive yet, but how does @sugarcube.sh compare to terrazzo.app?

Just migrated my account to npmx.social (thanks @npmx.dev) and cautiously feeling a bit better about how the different components of the protocol work.

Means it's time to engage more!

yep! took me a moment to figure out but looks like I got it to work ✨

Got it - that's what I suspected. I'll try renaming the npmx account and then migrating. Thanks!

@baileytownsend.dev apologies for the ping, but I'm trying to migrate this account to an existing account (@andrew.npmx.social) but running into an issue. I made sure that the "Create a New Account on the New PDS" option was not selected.

If there's a better place to ask this, do let me know!

Not sure how much I'll engage here but hoping that some portion of the humor I appreciate on Twitter makes its way here. I love the Fediverse and will spend more time there than here, but it almost certainly won't happen there, which is fine.

March 2023 update A social network off the grid – mobile and available on Android

but yeah your criticisms are certainly valid. you probably saw this, but lots of exciting developments for the evolution of SSB: https://www.manyver.se/blog/2023-03-05

cool to see some love for SSB! I'm a longtime resident on the main net and also a core dev for Manyverse 😁

wouldn't directly compare AT Protocol and SSB as they're addressing fundamentally different scales by design (basically AT for big world, SSB for small world)
