The Calgary Flames have strong South Asian representation in Kevin Bahl and Zayne Parekh The sport of hockey is growing, and diversity has been a major part of its recent traction in other communities. The South Asian community is no different, as there have been multiple individuals throughout the NHL's history who have broken barriers to be a part of this great sport. The Calgary Flames now have two players who have South Asian roots in Kevin Bahl and Zayne Parekh.

Both Kevin Bahl and Zayne Parekh share a common thing, and that's their South Asian roots. Both these players are making a huge impact in creating positive representation within the community and in a sport that is slowly seeing more diversity.

Yeah, with the tall order of building a winning roster, I'd rather one include good leaders and good humans and Calgary does a very good job at that. And maybe that also turns into a positive feedback loop of loyalty-driven decision making tbh!

Fully agreed! It's probably a mixed bag of being burned in the past and not wanting it to happen again, as well as Calgary putting a lot of effort into keeping players happy as a strategy and that player praise is some form of signal that it's "working."

Conroy moved the needle in the right direction with this one. I get wanting the team to trade for a gamechanger, but that ain't happening with where the team is right now.

It's not our turn, yet.

Does the fix handle the inevitable future case of 20 players with the same name playing on the same team at the same time?

R munsell package output for complement_slice("5B").

The image shows two Munsell color charts side by side, representing complementary hues: "5YR" (Yellow-Red) on the left and "5B" (Blue) on the right. Each chart is organized in a grid. The colors transition vertically from light (high value) at the top to dark (low value) at the bottom. Horizontally, the colors progress from neutral gray (N) in the center to increasingly intense hues (high chroma) toward the edges. The 5YR chart features warm, orangish tones, while the 5B chart features cool, bluish tones.
