Since my last interview on April 2, I have heard absolutely nothing.
It is strange how often applicants are expected to be polished, responsive, and respectful of everyone’s time, while companies can go silent without explanation. What exactly is the logic here?

Just when I thought I’d moved on, something else crossed my feed that has a familiar feel to it.
It’s an Instagram video with the word “BUSTED” in all caps on the cover. There’s a guy in a red shirt breaking down a situation that echoes the same issues around access and entitlement. Worth a view.
Shaking this off now.
I could unpack this more, but I don’t think that conversation is happening here.
So I’ll leave it at this: no one is owed access.
Anybody noticing how often Marit Stiles gets criticized by people who aren’t doing any real on-the-ground work themselves? That’s worth thinking about.
It really costs nothing to interact with people in a respectful manner.
I’m calling it now, the pattern is going to speak for itself over time.

Having a platform and strong opinions doesn’t automatically mean you get political influence or access. That comes from actually doing the work, not just having an audience.
This war is a moral failure and a failure of political courage. How many more lives will be lost while leaders use spectacle, scandal, and political gamesmanship to avoid doing what this moment demands?

Easter Sunday:
I planned to spend the long weekend preparing for the 3rd interview. But I reconnected with people I hadn’t seen in a while instead. I hope I don’t get called Monday for Tues. or Wed. 😩 Also, sometimes the most productive thing you can do is admit you need a break.
March 10th:
Round one of three interviews. I got a rush call to come for an interview. Then dead silence.
April 2nd:
“Two of three interview rounds done. Now I wait to hear whether I’ve made it to the final round. Send good energy my way. I’m very ready to be done with the job search grind. 🤞🏽😮💨”
