Had a good balloon day yesterday. Saw Nate Bargatze and got lots of flowers. It was almost like . . . a funeral. ๐
54 is the new . . . 54.
I used to be young. Back when we had real film.
Well. Year 17. Back in the classroom and co-teaching 10th grade English. ๐ค๐ปfor a good year.

Itโs your day!!! @surfdruid.bsky.social

I get it. If more people paid attention in history class, theyโd see the clear patterns. The Cassandra myth is shockingly relevant to the last 10 years. That would be a great cross curricular lesson. I wonder who would be the modern equivalent of Apollo. Hmmmmm. ๐ค ๐
I am a teacher. Shout out your 8th-grade teacher from the rooftops! My favorite teacher in high school was my 10th-grade history teacher. My daughter's favorite teacher (so far) was her 7th-grade history teacher, and now history is her favorite subject. If a teacher can light that ๐ฅ, we all ๐ฅณ.
I guess I'll give it another go. Words are cool. Rhyming words are even cooler.
You canโt stop the classics.
And, I forgot earplugs. Rookie mistake.

"Could it be she doesn't have to try?"
Elizabeth: I never saw such a woman. She would certainly be a fearsome thing to behold.

On July 5, as floodwaters were starting to recede, FEMA received 3,027 calls from disaster survivors and answered 3,018, or roughly 99.7 percent, the documents show. Contractors with four call center companies answered the vast majority of the calls. That evening, however, Ms. Noem did not renew the contracts with the four companies and hundreds of contractors were fired, according to the documents and the person briefed on the matter. The next day, July 6, FEMA received 2,363 calls and answered 846, or roughly 35.8 percent, according to the documents.
