This level of confidence in software is really scary. You have LLMs find and fixing bugs, users not being incentivised to find and report bugs, alongside the existing microservice best practices. Paranoid software is more secure software.

there is a big parallel to photos...

Used to be valuable because it took effort to take & develop but now everyone has a camera in there pocket but the quality of photos has been degraded from portraits to selfies.

and photographers still exist because the art was never in the accessibility.

the "we" are the product owners and QA's making hacky tools and one time run scripts then patting themselves on the back for making software.

it would be delusional comparing yourself to a chef because you can make chicken nuggets, but it seems to be normal in the industry...

I'm also seeing that more and more people are calling software engineering dead because AI's can do this cycle of check -> backlog -> fix but then fail to understand why the AI is creating those issues for the backlog in the first place
