The story of this game is, to me, its biggest and best facet.

Additionally, it is available on steam or directly from the square enix store, so take into consideration your chosen platform. Google about, but the free trial is available for all platforms.
You can play on console. PS5 (eventually 4 is losing support, I think).
If you wanted the ability to play on console AND switch to PC on occasion you would need to purchase the other version and link to your account.
It is all cross play, console players can play with PC users.
Minor clarification or correction on that.
Free trial which includes 2 expansions Heavansward and Stormblood.
The content within the expansions is huge and will offer hundreds of hours of story content to go through.
Exceptionally generous and I recommend it.

I've done a few runs solo. It kind of depends on RNG and also what the map is for that day.
Each day, the game has a set random generation (or so it seems) for each level. It will always be the same terrain for that day, and sometimes the terrain is super difficult, especially for a solo player.
Still kind of irritated that the inflatable PARROT in front of us was actually accepted into the fursuit parade.
Not a fursuit. Does it cover the skin? I suppose, but like... come on... REALLY?

Ya know, a lot of the drama and people screeching about Anthrocon and how they are banning poodling, and all other baseless claims lately, really just remind me of this.
Feels like some people don't even know what they are angry about and straight up have the facts wrong.

Someone who has been planning for the parade for MONTHS, got a whole outfit, but then just getting "unlucky" and having their spot taken by someone in a tail and ears is going to feel HEAVILY slated. Is that REALLY a better option you would prefer?
Also. There literally IS a cap on parade this year.
If you want an example of a lottery system being a "feel bad" situation by those not graced by the RNG gods, look at the housing in Final Fantasy XIV where willing participants place their money on a player home but just.. Not winning, again and again.
It isn't better, people will just feel bitter.

There are several LARGE water coolers available in many locations, especially in parade lineup. As well as giant fans for cooling down
This has literally been a thing for the past years I have gone.
Also, the parade is only outside for like 5 min / 1 min in sunlight
It is thanks to her that this trip has managed to turn around. We got our tickets. We got a hotel. We got to change to our DESIRED hotel. The stars are aligning here, and I am just thrilled to bits.
So for Anthrocon 2025 we will be at the Hamtpon Inn! Hell yes!
