I think this was true for many of us. We now love remote/hybrid work, go to the movies less, etc.
But the people who hated COVID also changed. They developed a kind of pathological selfishness. They learned to do whatever tf they want, even if it will sicken and kill people.

If you don’t know about this, you need to read up. It’s the single bloodiest massacre in the history of Reconstruction, and it was perpetrated to overthrow the results of an election. It was emblematic of the sabotage of Reconstruction. And SCOTUS nullified the prosecution of those responsible.
Benghazi! Benghazi!
Republicans didnt have the votes either back then, but they made a lot of noise about a (fake!) scandal and that got them votes.
"Oh well, we're powerless losers" is a losing position always. I want Dem leadership to stop being feckless losers.
Good leaders serve the people by leading them. Don't wait for the uninformed masses to decide that crimes deserve punishment. Lead the way prosecuting Trump in the court of public opinion and the halls of Congress.
We the people don't have the power to impeach. They do!
The shape looks like they were trying for a violin, but it came out a little off so they were like "eh, I've seen guitars that are kind of this shape" and published.
Ah, here we have one of the idiots who thinks elected officials shouldnt lead the nation they were elected to lead. Dipshits like this must be why Democrats keep electing the wussiest losers in the world.
They don't want to lead; they want to follow.
And worse than that, they want to follow imaginary center-right swing voters invented by James Carville.
According to Democratic leadership, attempting to put a guy on trial for corruption related crimes distracts from the corruption.
Their brains are as cooked as Trump's and their incompetence is equally dangerous to America.
This should be illegal
Oh no! Not foreign steel!
Protectionism isnt what we need, Senator. We need impeachment. The problem isnt the steel, it's all of the stealing, like stealing the whole East Wing from the American people and illegally reducing it to rubble, stealing Venezuelan oil, stealing Iranian lives.
Impeach.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz made an unannounced visit to the Everglades concentration camp where she describes the inhumane conditions she witnessed.
The best root beer is a pint pulled from the tap at Wagner Brewery, sipped slowly on their deck overlooking Seneca Lake on a warm afternoon.
There are other good root beers, but that one is the best.
Scooped ice cream is a year-round food, but soft serve is only for summer.
Is that why I can never spot any warblers when the Merlin app tells me theyre nearby?
A hot dog is a taco.
🍑🍑🍑 and cream
You're probably pranking us and I don't care. I'm sharing it anyway.
Peaches and cream wipes for your 🍑 is too perfect.
collabs have gone too far we need to stop with the collabs
case in point, this real product
NEW: The FBI was able to forensically extract copies of incoming Signal messages from a defendant’s iPhone, even after the app was deleted, because copies of the content were saved in the device’s push notification database, multiple people present for FBI testimony in a trial told 404 Media.
She didn't live in that kind of desert.
Her home is basically in an upper-middle-class suburb. It's in the desert like you might see a roadrunner in the yard, not like you might see a mobster burying a body.
Of course the FBI and police are incompetent.
The better question is are they involved. Police forces are violent gangs.
we'll see how it shakes out over the course of years, but as of right now, mamdani is definitely showing how the future of good progressive governance means "use government to do good things and then post about it"
both parts are important!
When I donate to ProPublica or pay my subscription to the Inquirer, I remember that these outlets are the exceptions. The old "great" papers have debased themselves for Trump (and many of my friends still literally buy their lies).
Tucson, AZ was never on my radar until I met someone with family there. It's great. Great hiking and biking, nice botanical gardens, good food, a great used book store...
Not every job needs to be a six figure job (especially one that doesn't pay taxes on most of its income!). I work hard, pay taxes, and tip fairly.
If you think waiters should make $100k/yr, take it up with the CEOs of restaurant chains, not random laborers from other fields.
It's not a distraction. We can walk and chew gum at the same time. We can dislike multiple types of bullshittery in the ridiculous US tax law.
not gonna lie I feel like a sucker continuing to tip 20% when I know servers can deduct their tips from their taxes
it’s absurd that we give servers this massive handout when back-of-house kitchen staff (who often make less!) get no deduction
one of the great journalistic photographs of US history
It would be very helpful for Democrats to establish now, IN ADVANCE, that future Democratic administrations will allow any relevant criminal proceedings to go forward, and that decisions made by military leaders today could have life-changing consequences for them in the future.
