My 4th graders have been diving into the world of wetlands.

This week they chose a type of wetland to recreate, using food items to represent the unique plants and animals of their ecosystem. It was a hands-on challenge that sparked imagination, critical thinking, and a whole lot of fun.

Check out my list on Amazon

It’s #clearthelist time! That magical time of year when educators beg friends, family, and total strangers to help them supply their classrooms. So, if you have a few bucks to spare, I’m headed back for year 26 and would love anything you give. 💜

Today I met with some of my GirlsWhoCode members, fellow sponsors, and parents to watch Rule Breakers - an incredible movie about the Afghan Girls Robotics Team’s their struggles and successes. We were joined by a homeschool robotics group and tickets were courtesy of Availity and She Can Code It.

I'm locked out of X so guess I'll be here more often. 🤷🏻‍♀️
It was a great week! 10k step club, round 1 ended. I placed 3rd out of 12. Just started round 2 today and we have 16 members now.
I'm already at 12k and trying to decide if another walk is worth it to have the highest score today. 🤔

5th grade had an exciting visit to the DCPS Minecraft lab. We started with a bit of free building, then, we dove into a math session to enhance our understanding of area and volume, tackling problems and creating our own models. We finished with a group build challenge to design a treehouse.

Although I didn't take first place, I am immensely proud, humbled, and grateful for the overwhelming support and well wishes from everyone. It was truly a night to remember, and I am deeply thankful for all the kindness shown to me, both in person and across all platforms.
