A productive last week or so, and today especially:

- Finished up 2 collabs
- Finished a rough mix of a little thing my guitar student recorded
- Put a demo together
- The thing I'm waiting on for finishing LP1 is nearly done
- Uploaded Only Assholes Sign Up For ICE to streaming, will be ready soon

I can't complain about the result but the fact that NPR had to be saved via a billionaire that happened to care about it is a terrrrrible sign

Forgot how much I liked "Epiphany" by Staind when I was like, 14. Fired it up again today. The song itself is good. Aaron Lewis is a weird mixture of like....75% good singer and 75% bad singer, and no, I didn't math wrong. It's 150% vocals and they're good and bad at the same time.

yeah I believe every song was under 1 minute and as a purveyor of short songs myself, at times (I have two under 1 minute long and a handful more under 2 minutes) I'm not opposed to that but like c'mon. If your specialty is short stuff you're not releasing an album with only 7 songs.

Found a bit of extra motivation to release more music in the form of discovering that there's some AI Slop band (I assume) called "The Prime Birds" which has a new album out that's 10 minutes long with 7 songs and AI album art. No fucking way can I let that ever come up first in searches

My mom is very supportive of me doing my Prime Birds project but doesn't so much care for my music personally (which is 100% okay). This is the first thing that I ever wrote that she proactively messaged me to say she liked lol

So if I had a Chord Progression that went E major, B major, C (natural) major, A major, how I would express that in terms of scale degrees?

Music theory question:

If I am communicating to someone that a song has a 1-5-6-4 chord progression, I wouldn't need to specifiy to most people that the 6 is a minor chord.

In E, it'd be E, B, C#minor, A

But I wouldn't call that a Minor Sixth, because the minor sixth of E would be C Natural, yes?
