uv (docs.astral.sh/uv) + hermit (github.com/cashapp/hermit) i think is the ultimate combo for python versioning.
No issues versioning system deps (hermit handles downloading uv at a pinned dep) nor python versions (uv handles python version pinning)
But Ryan, how else are we supposed to track lead time and resolution time so that we may show it on our OKRs how efficient we are

Im resisting... But I should to keep my sanity
Nooo estava espantant una mosca...
Really want to spend some time finding a way to do an instance of Bsky in Europe
It's scary to see some people's timeline on Twitter... It's plagued by misinformation. Saying that social networks don't impact election results or people's behavior is quite short-sighted.
Is it the only reason? No. Is it likely a great contributor to radicalization of people? Yes
Again for the people on the back: freedom of speech is not the same as freedom of reach or freedom of consequences. Expecting a working system without moderation/consequences n is not sustainable
A mi me sigue dando demasiado cringe... Creo que la diferència es que en LinkedIn solo me sale self-promotion posts mientras Twitter & co sale pero junto a otro contenido. Lo que reduce el cringe-meter...

A reminder: uninstall the Honey browser extension. Make sure friends and family are aware over the holidays.
Pero no pediste a Papa Noel mejorar la eficiencia de tus proyectos como todos los demas?
Finished binge watching Ted Lasso after a couple weeks... Probably one of the most wholesome series I've watched in recent years. Tackles really important aspects of it what the human experience is in a comedy show around football.

Merry Christmas everyone! 🌲🌲🎉🎉

Brb writing an inspirational LinkedIn post about how this was my biggest professional achievement
Afaik the Discover feed does use some simple ML for topic detection according to @jaz.bsky.social posts in the past...
Honestly so ready for generative AI hype to pass the peak of inflated expectations already
At the end of the day, don’t we all just want a bookshelf with a rolling ladder?
Also tbh tools like:
- bsky-follow-finder.theo.io
- chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sky-f...
Which made it quick to bootstrap a network to follow here
Not enough critical mass of people I follow in Mastodon vs here. I do have an account there and tried to use it for a while... @gerard@macaw.social
Here it feels different, I see more non-tech people (like Threads) with good engagement vs clickbait (like Twitter)
Yeah the funding model is a worry (it feels like Twitter before it became profitable tbh). And openness can be reversed. That said it's pretty open/public at the moment. My main hope for this is that people start to federate... Been meaning to try to host my own data server at some point
Wondering why the worry? It's pretty drastically public data for better or for worse tbh (really easy to replicate which makes it easy to rebuild even if bsky the company went bankrupt)
you can also crosspost w @ap.brid.gy from mastodon (or viceversa)
Guess I have to add bluesky to my Focus app list
para verificar: bsky.app/profile/bsky...
It’s starting to happen. Non-techy people, friends and family are asking what Bluesky is 👀
Life is what happens while you wait for your PR to be reviewed
The thing I like about here is it answers the: "What's happening" question again
Soon enough it will be the "See you next year" joke season too
